Let’s take a look at some of the top floor generals I saw at Hoops Hustlers’ Tipoff Classic from this past weekend at Suwanee Sports Academy.

[player_tooltip player_id="870190" first="Syncere" last="Harris"] (2022, N ATL Orangemen) - While scoring in bunches controlled the tempo and made great decisions, another undersized PG with tons of heart and savvy

[player_tooltip player_id="820274" first="Stephon" last="Castle"] (2023, Atlanta Xpress) - One of the state’s best D1 PG prospects right now playing up in the 17U’s, such good size, control, awareness, glides along the floor

[player_tooltip player_id="1020689" first="Tayden" last="Owens"] (2023, Wood Elite) - Looked composed but still explosive in darting by defenders and being a smart distributor, when on his game awfully tough to deal with with shooting and driving

[player_tooltip player_id="1131156" first="Elijah" last="Crawford"] (2024, AOT, pictured above) - Possibly the best PG performance I saw all weekend, strong & steady and a load getting downhill, sweet stroke and high IQ passer

Tayshawn Griffith (2024, TSF) - Another good-looking guard prospect for this club, a crafty scorer at the 1 and was among the best rebounding guards I saw

[player_tooltip player_id="953621" first="Cade" last="Simmons"] (2023, AC Georgia) - Loved his pairing with [player_tooltip player_id="873081" first="Brent" last="Bowman"], the noted shooter showed more of his dribble-drive game and surprising burst off the bounce

[player_tooltip player_id="1050039" first="Gaddis" last="Heath"] (2022, D-Favors Celtics) - Many instances where you just give him the ball and get out of the way, but at same time is a heady passer and sees his teammates for such a gifted scorer

[player_tooltip player_id="1130597" first="Tyrhell" last="Branch"] (2022, AC Georgia) - Speed and strength packed into a smaller package but no less difficult to get in front of, can really guard you

Melvin Smith (2021, Atlanta Lightning) - Everyone can handle and shoot it for the Lightning, loved Smith’s composure and cool handle, Joshton Mincey and Stanley Haliburton are two others with similar skills and so impressive was the whole Lightning bunch last weekend

[player_tooltip player_id="1047093" first="Chase" last="Ballard"] (2021, GA Canes) - Recent signing since my last publication with East Georgia State, so well deserved, may be 5-9 but plays PG with massive heart and the skill to go with it

Dillon Hunter (2022, GA Stars) - Perhaps not his best stuff in a prime time matchup with Game Elite’s Scott Henderson, but remains of course a top prospect nationally with a great body and top-notch skills as lead guard who can create and score
