Prep Hoops recently put out its 2024 Palmetto State Class first edition of rankings and all these players found a home somewhere in them.
Ellis Graham Ellis Graham 6'9" | PF Gray Collegiate | 2024 State #305 Nation SC – East Clarendon HS (Turbeville) – Carolina Knights
Prep Hoops was able to see Graham play a few times this weekend with his local based team from Clarendon County. Graham is a quick leaper off the floor who is still a RAW talent. Graham usually runs with Team USC on the Grassroots Circuit. Graham was able to connect on a few short jumpers and swat away 7 blocks in the first game I watched him play this weekend. Graham is like a pogo stick with his ability to move around the floor. Graham saw quality minutes on the varsity level for the Wolverines this past year.
Devin Grainger Devin Grainger 6'1" | PG Conway | 2024 State SC – Conway HS – Ascend Ballers (pictured on front)
Grainger was AUTOMATIC going to the rack all weekend long and brought home the 16U Championship for his squad. Grainger ranked #6 in the first edition of the 2024 Palmetto State Rankings didn’t disappoint with his play. Grainger a multi-sport athlete also excels on the gridiron. Grainger exploded to the rack when given the opportunity most of the day today.
Brock Ray Brock Ray 6'11" | C St John's Christian | 2024 State SC – St John’s Christian Academy (Moncks Corner) – PSB Charleston 2024
Ray and his teammates had some struggles here today. Ray is still a bit of a newcomer to the game and can really clog up the middle with his size in the paint. Ray is only going to keep improving with his play and more playing time down the road. Ray 6’11 has very legit size in the paint and plays with a bit of a mean streak. Ray keeps the ball up high when he rebounds it and he doesn’t mind playing on contact.
These 3 players you will hear plenty about in the years to come here in the Palmetto State.
