The spring AAU circuit is just around the corner and teams are preparing for it. PPA Elite and the Hilltopper Basketball Club did so by having an inter-squad scrimmage. Several players rose their stock with their play as they showed they were ready for the spring season. Here are the top stock-risers from the PPA Elite and Hilltopper Basketball Club Media Day.

[player_tooltip player_id="1153277" first="Peyton" last="Seals"], 6’3 SG Ramapo 2024

No player at the event rose his stock more than Seals did as he showed off his all-around skillset. The 6’3 guard has a smooth shooting stroke with the ability to shoot either off the dribble or off the catch. Seals is more than just a shooter as he has a nice handle and can finish in a variety of ways once he gets into the lane. He is a solid defender and has the ability to run the offense in a pinch. Seals is a talented guard prospect whose stock is just starting to climb.

[player_tooltip player_id="1150278" first="Sutan" last="Fitzpatrick"], 5’9 PG Newark East Side 2023

Fitzpatrick had a strong showing at the Media Day as he showed off his ability to run the show. The 5’9 guard is lightning quick with the ball in his hands and is at his best pushing the pace in transition. Fitzpatrick made several nice passes during the scrimmages as he showed his ability to control the offense. He is a strong rebounder for a guard and moves his feet well on the defensive end. Fitzpatrick’s ability to control the offense is only going to help him as his varsity career continues.

Marco Gordils, 5’9 PG Morris Catholic 2022

Gordils was everywhere on the court as he showed his ability to move his feet. The 5’9 guard was always talking on the defensive end and provided leadership whenever he was on the floor. Gordils has a nice handle and did not seem to get rattled by on-ball pressure. He has a nice release on his jumper and plays with his head up. Gordils is a tough lead guard prospect who should have a good summer for the Hilltoppers 17U team.

[player_tooltip player_id="1153965" first="Jayshaun" last="Brazile"], 6’5 PF Orange 2024

Brazile had a strong performance throughout the Media Day as he showed his ability to impact the game on both ends. The 6’5 forward used his strong frame to create space for himself down low and has a nice touch around the basket. Brazile showcased a good release on his jumper, showing he has the ability to become a stretch 4. He is a force on both ends of the glass and moves his feet well on the defensive end. Brazile’s game is only going to get better, especially after the spring AAU season.

Ebrahim Kaba, 6’4 SG/SF East Orange Campus

Kaba had a good showing at the Media Day as he showing his offensive skillset. The lanky 6’4 wing has a good shooting stroke and has the ability to get hot in a hurry. Kaba moves well off the ball and runs the floor hard to try to set himself up for easy layups. He has a good handle and his length gives him the capability to defend multiple positions. Kaba should have a strong season for the Hilltoppers 16U squad with his ability to shoot the ball from distance.
