The first full week of January is here, meaning the basketball season is getting into full swing. Central Jersey Group 3 is always full of intrigue as teams across the section have chances to take home the sectional title. The back court has the potential to make noise, especially in the 2026 class.

[player_tooltip player_id='2342600' first='Terrance' last='Traylor'], 5'11 PG Ewing

Traylor has been running the show for the Blue Devils all season as he leads the team in points, assists and steals. The 5'11 guard is a blur in the open floor as defenders struggle to keep him out of the lane and is a crafty finisher around the rim. Traylor has a nice touch in the mid-range and finds his open teammates in the half court. He pushes the pace well in transition and uses his quick hands to get steals on the defensive end. Traylor is a dynamic guard prospect whose ability to run the offense effectively will help his stock in a big way throughout the course of the season.

[player_tooltip player_id='2633368' first='Alexander' last='Jeanty'], 6'1 PG/CG Westampton Tech

Jeanty has been key for the Panthers' attack this season as he is averaging more than 15 points per game. The 6'1 guard uses his handle to get into the lane and can finish through contact in the paint. Jeanty can also score in the mid-range and moves well without the ball in his hands. He has the length to defend both backcourt spots and is an underrated passer. Jeanty is a gritty guard prospect who should continue to make plays at both ends of the floor throughout the course of the season.

[player_tooltip player_id='2360386' first='Marvin' last='Mcneill'], 5'10 PG Lawrence

Mcneill has been the spark for the Cardinals' offense as he already has three 20-point games this season. The 5'10 guard has a smooth shooting stroke as he wastes little motion and can get hot from distance in a hurry. Mcneill is more than just a shooter as he can also get into the paint off the bounce and finishes well around the basket. He moves well without the ball in his hands and works hard on the defensive end. Mcneill has the ability to put up points in bunches, which he should put on display this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1859571' first='Sean' last='Collins'], 6'5 SG Brick Memorial

Collins has the ability to play either spot on the perimeter, making him an intriguing prospect to watch this season. The 6'5 guard uses his size to see over his defender and rises up nicely on his jumper. Collins wastes little motion in his release and can make open jumpers from behind the arc. He is a strong rebounder and uses his length to make an impact on the defensive end. Collins' ability to make plays at both ends of the floor is something that will help his development over the next couple of months.

Mike Cush, SG Freehold Boro

Cush has stepped up in a big way this season and is currently on a three-game streak with at least 20 points or more. The Brookdale commit has a good release on his jumper and rises up with confidence on his jumper. Cush moves well without the ball in his hands, freeing himself for open jumpers and layups in the half court. He rarely forces jumpers and slides his feet on the defensive end. Cush is a tough guard prospect who should continue to put up 20-point games for Freehold Boro throughout the course of the season.
