The NCHSAA season has finally wrapped up and a champion has been crowned. Take a look at who earned 1A NCHSAA All-State teams.

Most Outstanding Player: [player_tooltip player_id="574409" first="Terquavion" last="Smith"] | 6’3 Guard | Farmville Central

Smith finished as one of the most decorated players in North Carolina high school history, accumulating a record of 76-2 across the past three seasons as Farmville Central took home the 3A NCHSAA State Title for the third year in a row. He put up 33 points, 10 assists, nine rebounds and five steals in their 113-98 win over Hendersonville.

1st Team

Point Guard: [player_tooltip player_id="838016" first="Bobby" last="Pettiford"] | South Granville

Pettiford heads to Louisville after finishing quite an impressive career at South Granville. He’s accumulated 1,944 points, 615 assists, 528 rebounds and 288 steals in 104 games played on the varsity stage.

Guard: [player_tooltip player_id="574409" first="Terquavion" last="Smith"] | Farmville Central

Smith proved himself in his final year of high school basketball, going out on top 15-0 and even had a 50-point performance against NCISAA member Trinity-Academy Raleigh in a nonconference showdown. He’ll be an intriguing prospect to watch at NC State.

Wing: [player_tooltip player_id="854917" first="Jah" last="Short"] | Farmville Central

Short took home MOP honors in the state final game and with good reason as he posted 23 points, nine rebounds and seven assists to show off his ability to make plays for himself and others with the ball in his hands. The Jaguars are in good hands with him in the backcourt.

Forward: Alex Lemmens | Hendersonville

Lemmens was a consistent force in the frontcourt for Hendersonville as they went unbeaten up until the 2A State Title game. The unsigned senior finished with 18 points and nine rebounds in the championship.

Center: [player_tooltip player_id="838031" first="Leontae" last="Moye"] | Farmville Central

Moye was a double-double machine all season long for Farmville Central while also acting as the ultimate paint protector. He’s a lengthy 6-foot-8 forward that’s mobile and versatile when he’s on the floor, making him a matchup nightmare.

2nd Team

Point Guard: [player_tooltip player_id="951365" first="Keenan" last="Wilkins"] | Hendersonville

Wilkins is a scrappy lead guard that’s active on both ends. He posted 28 points along with six steals and five assists against the Jaguars, despite the result. He’s a sophomore prospect worth getting a look at for teams in need of a "lead by example" type.

Guard: [player_tooltip player_id="838018" first="Breon" last="Pass"] | Reidsville

Pass was stellar all season long in the Reidsville backcourt, producing 32.6 ppg, 12.3 rpg, 4.9 apg, 2.1 spg and 1.6 bpg, leaving it all on the floor in his final year. He put up 27 points and 11 rebounds despite coming up short against Farmville Central. He’s another NC State signee in the 2021 class.

Wing: [player_tooltip player_id="945080" first="Dwight" last="Canady"] | Hendersonville

The other half to a strong returning Hendersonville backcourt, Canady does well playing off of Wilkins, as evidenced by his 31 points on three made 3-pointers in the State Title game. He isn’t shy about getting rebounds either, as he finished with 10.

Forward: [player_tooltip player_id="848089" first="Collin" last="Tanner"] | South Granville

Tanner had quite the breakout season for the Vikings in 2020-21, putting up 23.5 ppg, 7.1 rpg, 2.8 apg and 1.1 spg in his junior season. He didn’t let up against Farmville Central, posting 31 points on 13-of-20 shooting and five made 3-pointers.

Center: [player_tooltip player_id="533510" first="Dontrez" last="Styles"] | Kinston

Styles played the center spot for Kinston though at the next level, look for his game to expand with the UNC Tar Heels. He posted 18.6 ppg, 9.9 rpg, 3.0 apg and 1.7 bpg on the season and showed he’s much more than just a paint presence.
