<p>The 3A Sectionals are underway and there were a lot of storylines from Friday’s semifinal matchups. Let’s dive in and take a look at some of the top highlights from Friday’s night of hoops. </p>
<p><span style="font-size: 1rem;"><b>North Harrison Nearly Pulls Second Upset over Silver Creek</b></span></p>
<p>Back in December, North Harrison beat Silver Creek without [player_tooltip player_id="529572" first="Trey" last="Kaufman"]. This time, not many people were giving North Harrison a chance. Nonetheless, it was close all game, and North Harrison actually held the lead at the end of the third quarter. In the end, the two Division 1 talents, [player_tooltip player_id="529572" first="Trey" last="Kaufman"] and [player_tooltip player_id="569321" first="Kooper" last="Jacobi"], were just too much as the Dragons held on for a 44-41 victory. Kaufman scored 17 points and 12 rebounds, and Jacobi totaled 16 points and 12 rebounds. The Dragons held [player_tooltip player_id="647198" first="Langdon" last="Hatton"] to just 8 points, his lowest scoring output of the season. North Harrison was led by [player_tooltip player_id="870295" first="Logan" last="McIntire"] who scored 22.</p>
<p><b>Twin Lakes takes down Western in Double OT</b></p>
<p>This game was one of the bigger surprises in 3A. Western got off to an early lead, but Twin Lakes came back and took control, leading by 13 with 5:00 to go. However, Western battled back and sent it to overtime. Neither team scored in the opening overtime period, but Twin Lakes was able to take control in the second overtime and pull away in the final 22 seconds for a 57-53 victory. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="870301" first="Clayton" last="Bridwell"]</strong> led Twin Lakes with 18, and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="870290" first="Evan" last="Kretz"] </strong>led the Panthers with 12 points and 7 rebounds.</p>
<p><strong>Leo Survives Overtime Thriller</strong></p>
<p>Leo held a comfortable 9 point lead at the half and 7 point lead at the end of the third, but Luers was able to chip away and eventually tie the game with 2 minutes to go. [player_tooltip player_id="874150" first="Blake" last="Davison"] hit a three with 11 seconds to go to give Leo a 2 point lead, but [player_tooltip player_id="647205" first="Naylon" last="Thompson"] answered with a hook shot at the buzzer to send it to OT. In the overtime period, Luers was able to hold Leo to just one made field goal, but fouls were the ultimate difference-maker as Davison was 9-10 from the line in OT. Leo would hold on for a 76-70 victory. [player_tooltip player_id="874150" first="Blake" last="Davison"] was outstanding with 32 points and 9 boards. </p>

<li><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1077032" first="Braydon" last="Flagg"]</strong> scores 20 and tops the 1,000 point mark for New Prairie in their win.</li>
<li><strong>Silas Kaser</strong>, <strong>Carter Yung</strong>, and <strong>Brycen Hannah</strong> all top the 15 point mark for John Glenn in their 27 point win over South Bend Washington.</li>
<li><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="958403" first="Matthew" last="Ross"] </strong>and <strong>Matthew Roettger </strong>each earned double-doubles for Peru in their 8 point win over Maconaquah.</li>
<li>Wawasee hits a layup at the buzzer and thought they were fouled, but nothing was called and NorthWood advances with a 1 point win.</li>
<li><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1077045" first="Brayden" last="Bontrager"]</strong> scores 25 for Lakeland, but it isn’t enough as they fall to West Noble.</li>
<li><strong>Sam Campbell </strong>scores 16 to help Bishop Dwenger come back for a 9 point win over Concordia.</li>
<li><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="874123" first="Brody" last="Whitaker"]</strong> scored 25 including 15-18 from the free-throw line in Greencastle’s surprise 15 point win over Danville.</li>
<li><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="874184" first="Caleb" last="Swearingen"]</strong> and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="963932" first="Brevin" last="Cooper"] </strong>scored 17 and 15 to lead Northview over Brownstown Central.</li>
<li><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="783202" first="Evan" last="Altman"] </strong>and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="870225" first="Billy" last="Smith"] </strong>score 19 in Brebeuf Jesuit’s win over Bishop Chatard.</li>
<li><strong>Dakota Walters</strong> topped 20 for the first time in his career with a 29-point performance in Greensburg’s win over Batesville.</li>
<li><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="874112" first="Blake" last="Sisley"] </strong>went off for 40 points and 13 rebounds to help Heritage Hills knock off Evansville Bosse.</li>
