Big Shots North Charleston: 5’10 and Under

<p>The Grassroots Season got underway this past weekend at the Big Shots North Charleston Marriott Tip-Off. Prep Hoops was in attendance for the event this weekend at the North Charleston Athletic Center. Simmons really keeps the ball low to the ground and rarely turns over the ball. Simmons has the ability to change speeds on the floor by playing fast or slowing it down to a a crawl. Simmons dropped a few pull-up jumpers in transition this past weekend. Appleton doesn’t back down from anyone with his desire and determination on the floor. Appleton is constantly looking to receive the ball on the offensive end if that means handling the rock or popping off screens for a open look. Appleton plays very well away from the ball. Appleton plays at the SCISA Class 1A level for the Marlins. </p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1023657" first="Chauncey" last="Capers"] - Fort Dorchester HS - Carolina Hoopz 2023 (pictured on front)</strong></p> <p>Capers switched uniforms this spring after playing last year with More Than Basketball. Capers plays the game with a relentless mindset. Capers a left-handed water-bug point guard has a GREAT MOTOR. Harry connected on several short jumpers all day long for his squad. Harry was able to draw contact on his way to the basket on several occasions. Harry a UNSIGNED Senior played as a leader on the floor for his team and was extremely vocal at times guiding the team. </p>
