Previous Ranking: #49
Current Ranking: #37

After flying under the radar Smith has really emerged with a strong fall/winter at several camps and then followed it up with a nice high school season. The big and strong guard went to work in one of the games we saw him against Wood River late in the season. Smith took it at the defense over and over again for transition scores along with powerful straight line takes. Has some niftiness around the hoop as well being able to maneuver his body. Finishes so well through contact. Also knocked down a corner three and got on the offensive glass for second chance points. Nice find at the D2 level.

[player_tooltip player_id="1152907" first="Johnny" last="Melvin"] (Orr)

Previous Ranking: NR (Moved from Texas)
Current Ranking: #38

Melvin moved to Orr from Texas. We got our evaluation of him against Whitney Young during the second half of the season. The strong and stocky built wing is a solid athlete and can really let it fly from distance. Did just that draining threes at a high clip off the catch. Brings physicality on the defensive end and rebounding.

[player_tooltip player_id="921016" first="Brennan" last="Weller"] (Edwardsville)

Previous Ranking: #200
Current Ranking: #39

This lefty shooting guard has always been known as a sharpshooter with a free and easy stroke. Displayed that hitting three from distance when we saw him as a senior. Much more than just a sniper however as his ball handling has made strides where he sets up his man for shots or drives. Gets to the line at a high rate and plays with a lot of flair to his game.

[player_tooltip player_id="1048734" first="Cassius" last="Brooks"] (Curie)

Previous Ranking: #163
Current Ranking: #71

Brooks had a quality summer with Old Gold where he first put himself on the radar. As a senior the strong combo guard emerged as Curie’s go to scorer with his ability to put it on the deck and get to the rack with power and speed. Pushes with acceleration in the open floor.

[player_tooltip player_id="1049060" first="Nick" last="Tingley"] (Lincoln Way Central)

Previous Ranking: #152
Current Ranking: #80

This LWC shooting guard is an Elmhurst commit that absolutely lit up the nets when we saw him this season. He drained several incredibly deep triples well beyond the college arc. Tough kid that can mix in finishes at the hoop and is active defensively. Nice get at the small college level.
