With the newly updated 2021 rankings coming out this week, let’s jump into some positional breakdowns. Here’s a look at the top Senior point guards. We are going to skip over the players in the Top 10 of the class since those players have already been broken down in our Top 10 article.

[player_tooltip player_id="1032006" first="Devin" last="Perry"], DeSales - Perry is a high scoring point who has thrived in his return to Kentucky after spending a year in Florida. He's averaging over 20 points per game as a Senior and is the driving force behind the great season DeSales is having.

[player_tooltip player_id="923003" first="KJ" last="Crump"], University Heights - Crump has been starting varsity for 5 years now and has to be one of the most experienced players in the Senior class. He's had some offers come his way and should land at the scholarship level next season.

[player_tooltip player_id="923002" first="Delshawn" last="Sims"], Seneca - Sims has had a very good Senior season that has been super limited due to a late start and then a Covid shut down. Delshawn can score or create for others and is the type of player who gets double digit offers at unsigned senior events.

[player_tooltip player_id="922997" first="Kale" last="Gaither"], Madisonville-North Hopkins - Another high scoring guard, Gaither has had an up and down career but seems to be finishing strongly as he's close to 20 points per game in his Senior season. Kale is another player who has had slow recruitment but should be a scholarship level player next year.

[player_tooltip player_id="923011" first="Jeremiah" last="Belton"], LaRue County - A two sport athlete committed to Lindsey Wilson in football, Belton is the most traditional "pass first" player on this list. Known for his ability to run an offense and guard the other team's facilitator, Jeremiah has had a strong career for the Hawks.

Other Names to Know:

[player_tooltip player_id="923013" first="Jake" last="Whitlock"], Spencer County - Whitlock has had a tremendous Senior year and has elite academics. Don't be surprised if he walks on D1 somewhere on a full academic scholarship.

[player_tooltip player_id="923010" first="Nash" last="Divine"], Muhlenberg County - One of the more underrated players in this class. Divine can play on or off the ball and should be in the mix for 3rd region player of the year.

[player_tooltip player_id="793777" first="Noah" last="Dumas"], McCracken County - Dumas is a large reason McCracken still sits on top of the 1st region. A do it all guard who can score, rebound and defend.

[player_tooltip player_id="923064" first="Grant" last="Profitt"], Scott - Often overlooked when talking about best players in NKY, Grant can really score the ball and would be a great pickup in the spring signing period.

[player_tooltip player_id="793824" first="Shane" last="Bibby"], Eastern - Shane has had a very disappointing Senior season but still has a chance to turn it around as he is a talented player who is still finding his role after a transfer from Central.
