What player has definitely stepped up his play even higher than many expected him to? Section by Section we pick a talent in Class AAAA

Section 1AAAA - [player_tooltip player_id="958681" first="Brayden" last="Williams"] of Owatonna (Jr)

Williams has had to step forward and helped his team when they were short handed. He scored 27 recently to knock off Northfield, Brayden went toe to toe with [player_tooltip player_id="850715" first="BJ" last="Omot"] in a win, and he’s lead Owatonna to a 10-2 season.

Section 2AAAA - Chiddi Obiazor of Eden Prairie (Soph)

Chiddi is a powerful, agile 6-foot-5 forward that is strong enough to post up up but so quick over either shoulder most bigs can’t react quick enough. Very good from mid-range attacking with a dribble. Scoring 15 plus a game to lead the Eagles.

Section 3AAAA - [player_tooltip player_id="957196" first="Henry" last="Shannon III"] of Eastview (Sr)

[player_tooltip player_id="957196" first="Henry" last="Shannon III"] is one of the stories of the season thus far. The Lightning are undefeated and Shannon’s 17 plus a game as a power forward continues to guide his team. He is the hottest name at the D2 level right because teams love his agility at the forward spot. Uses his length really well and that lefty power touch is special.

Section 4AAAA - [player_tooltip player_id="774930" first="Devin" last="Padelford"] of Woodbury (Sr)

The Royals are one of the hottest teams in Class AAAA basketball right now and they are doing it with a great balance. The Royals attack you in unison with there several weapons and soccer star Devein Padelford is becoming a basketball star as well using his agility to get to the rim and give the team another 5-6 bucket a game guy.

Section 5AAAA - [player_tooltip player_id="774746" first="Joshua" last="Strong"] of Champlin Park (Sr)

Strong is making his case as an all state level talent. Strong has had a quality season but his 24 point, seven assist game against Park Center seems to have taken Strong to an even higher level. Strong has led the Rebels to the number one spot in Class AAAA basketball much like JT Gibson, McKinley Wright, Josiah Strong, and a few others before him.

Section 6AAAA -[player_tooltip player_id="957207" first="Dylan" last="Inniger"] of Robbinsdale Armstrong (Sr)

Armstrong is 9-4 so far this year. Playing at an even higher level than expected. We felt that [player_tooltip player_id="957152" first="D’Sean" last="Larkins"] was going to have a strong year, and he is. [player_tooltip player_id="957207" first="Dylan" last="Inniger"] on the hand was going to be a player that was important for his team but scoring 18 a night and knocking down 27 points to beat Park Center was even more than expected. Inniger is scoring 18 a game.

Section 7AAAA - Sam Musungu of Andover (Soph)

Sam has proven to be one of the most productive players in the sophomore class this year. His 17 a game has led Andover to 9-4 this year. Musungu is growing physically and it’s become something opposing teams can’t deal with. His length to extend into shots. the power to leverage players, and the size to score over the top is making this lefty even better.

Section 8AAAA - Mitchell Degen of Brainerd (Jr)

Degen had given his team a second option and pairing with [player_tooltip player_id="774897" first="Griffin" last="Rushin"] the Brainerd squad is 11-2 and tough to slow down. Degen is averaging 14 points, six boards, and three assists a game making half of his shots. Degen and Rushin are all of a sudden the top 1-2 punch in the section (Blueitt and Zrust right there too)
