This is going to be the second part of our series where we go over the top unsigned players in the state at each position. The senior class has drawn the short stick when it comes to college coaches seeing them in person, so hopefully the players mentioned get the recruiting attention that they deserve.

[player_tooltip player_id="1041446" first="Marquis" last="Barnett"], 6’3 PG Brunswick 2021: Barnett is a player I’ve written about extensively, so I’ll keep it brief. The senior point guard has taken a significant leap this season and created one of the top scoring back-courts in the state with senior sharpshooter [player_tooltip player_id="919004" first="Tre" last="Massey"]. I believe Barnett should be getting looks from Division II programs across the mid-west.

[player_tooltip player_id="918970" first="AJ" last="Mirgon"], 5’11 GC Hilliard Bradley 2021: Mirgon is a winner, he’s kept Hilliard Bradley unbeaten after the graduation of [player_tooltip player_id="711896" first="Matt" last="Allocco"] alongside Wright State commit [player_tooltip player_id="918975" first="Keaton" last="Norris"]. Mirgon can play both guard positions and is capable of playing on and off ball. His shooting and defensive toughness are qualities that are highly sought after by small college programs.

[player_tooltip player_id="805175" first="Casey" last="George"], 6’0 PG Pickerington North 2021: George is a hard-nosed competitor who has become a lead option for the Panthers during his senior season. Despite a tough loss last night to Whitehall in overtime, George scored 20 points and proved again why he’s one of the better unsigned senior lead guards.

[player_tooltip player_id="918986" first="Henry" last="Hinkle"], 5’11 PG Olentangy Liberty 2021: Hinkle is the engine behind the high-powered Patriots offense. Hinkle is a talented offensive player who can do a variety of different things with the ball in his hands. Physicality will be the question mark for Hinkle as he is smaller built than most other players mentioned in this article.

[player_tooltip player_id="919014" first="Chanze" last="Amerson"], 6’1 PG Dayton Dunbar 2021: Amerson recently got his senior year to begin as Dunbar had to wait till early January to finally get a game in. Amerson is a very explosive athlete who can jump out the gym. I’d like to catch Amerson in person this season to see if he’s made any developments on his offensive game.

[player_tooltip player_id="918991" first="Collin" last="Albert"], 6’0 PG Lutheran East 2021: Albert is somebody I’ve gotten to watch a lot over the past two seasons, watching him 10+ times in the past two years. Albert is one of the better finishers around the basket in the guard class of 2021. Albert usually finishes off of two feet and stays on balance. I’d like to see Albert progress as a passer and I’ve only gotten to see him once this season, the Falcons are currently on quarantine so hopefully they can get healthy and play some more games for me to see his development.

[player_tooltip player_id="805133" first="Jaden" last="Hameed"] 5’11 PG Warrensville Heights 2021: Hameed is a very gifted scorer of the basketball and has helped Warrensville Heights to an impressive start to the season with some quality wins. I’m hopefully going to be seeing Hameed on Sunday at the Chet Mason Invitational to get another evaluation on him.

[player_tooltip player_id="918990" first="Tae" last="Perie"], 6’2 PG Canton McKinley 2021: Perie is another guard who is wearing new threads this season, as the score-first point guard is at Canton McKinley after leaving Akron Buchtel. Perie had some very big scoring games during his Junior season and should get some opportunities to shine this season as the Pups play a very difficult schedule filled against other college prospects.

[player_tooltip player_id="919045" first="Daryl" last="Houston"], 6’0 PG Beachwood 2021: Houston’s Bison have only played a few games this season but his scoring ability is easy to see. Houston won MVP at the Kenny Anderson showcase, showing his ability to outperform other small-college prospects.

[player_tooltip player_id="805195" first="Marcus" last="Steele"], 6’0 PG Solon 2021: Steele is a guy who has taken his game to a new level in his senior season and established himself as a scholarship level prospect. After watching him torch Brunswick I realized I had him too low in our rankings and he will be seeing a boost in the next update.
