I figured I would take my best shot at the Mr. Basketball award as it stands right now. This is only my opinion. Feel free to disagree in the comments. [player_tooltip player_id="922994" first="Trey" last="James"] leaving early for college has opened up a lot of votes as I expected Eastern Kentucky to rally behind the big man.

The Favorite:

[player_tooltip player_id="773408" first="Zion" last="Harmon"], Marshall County - I honestly never though that Harmon could win what is essentially a popularity contest but when we posted a tweet asking who they would vote for, Harmon was the overwhelming choice. Zion should have the numbers to impress voters and could cap a career that started with a state championship at Bowling Green by winning Mr. Basketball.

The Second Favorite:

[player_tooltip player_id="604116" first="Ben" last="Johnson"], Lexington Catholic - The best player on a top team in the state this season, Johnson spent his Junior season racking up big wins while putting up huge numbers. It’s going to be hard to top the numbers Johnson should put up (barring injury or otherwise) and Catholic is likely to play a big schedule as usual. Statistically, he out-performed Harmon in every category and won more games as a Junior.

Others in the Mix (No order):

[player_tooltip player_id="922990" first="Jaden" last="Rogers"], Fern Creek

[player_tooltip player_id="793756" first="Isaiah" last="Mason"], Bowling Green

[player_tooltip player_id="530673" first="DeAjuan" last="Stepp"], West Jessamine

[player_tooltip player_id="530678" first="JaQuais" last="Franklin"], Elizabethtown

[player_tooltip player_id="793828" first="Sam" last="Vinson"], Highlands

[player_tooltip player_id="923001" first="Cam" last="Pope"], Male
