The end of January has featured exciting weekend showcases and individual games across South Florida. I took in a number of games and received player information over the course of the week. As always, I encourage anyone to reach out to me on my socials regarding notable player performances. I can’t be at every game so transparency helps!

Let’s look into it...part three.

[player_tooltip player_id="1069620" first="Marcus" last="Allen"] - Miami Norland

2024 [player_tooltip player_id="1069620" first="Marcus" last="Allen"] picked up his first offer from Florida State yesterday. The 6-foot-6 wing is currently averaging 11.8 points and 7.1 rebounds on 49 percent shooting from the field. Moreover, Allen has reached double-figures in 15 of 19 recorded contests. The Seminoles are home to former U-School star [player_tooltip player_id="827873" first="Scottie" last="Barnes"] and won the ACC championship last season. Against North Miami, Allen scored 23 points and grabbed nine rebounds on 9-of-18 from the field. More offers for the freshman superstar will be coming down the pipeline.

[player_tooltip player_id="955771" first="Andrew" last="Akuchie"] - St. Thomas Aquinas

2022 [player_tooltip player_id="955771" first="Andrew" last="Akuchie"] continues to progress for the Raiders. The 6-foot-8 wing scored 11 points and grabbed nine rebounds (unofficially) against Oxbridge Academy. Akuchie had about four or five inches on the Thunderwolves but he got the job done. You can see his versatility regardless of the opponent. Akuchie hit a three-pointer for one his buckets and runs the floor well in transition. Moreover, Akuchie can finish around the interior and got up for an easy slam dunk. His rim protecting skills and work on the defensive interior continue to polish. Akuchie is a strong student (3.9 GPA) so college programs won’t have to worry about that.
Matthew Cadogan - St. Thomas Aquinas

2022 Matthew Cadogan shined in the win over the Thunderwolves. The 6-foot-5 shooting guard scored 17 points in a variety of ways. Cadogan can finish coast-to-coast with his athleticism or shoot the three. Moreover, I was impressed with ability to put the ball on the floor and finish at the rim. You are looking at a kid with a lot of length and ability at shooting guard. Cadogan holds a strong 4.1 GPA at the prestigious private school. You can check out some of his highlights by clicking here. 2021 Kyle Stathos added 20 points and knocked down six 3-pointers in the victory. I was surprised the space he was getting because I would have stuck to him like glue. Stathos went out on the Raiders senior night with a bang.

Dashley Estime - Santaluces

2021 Dashley Estime has the Chiefs on a roll. The 6-foot-2 forward is averaging 13.5 points and five rebounds per game for the 10-2 Chiefs. Santaluces has won ten in a row after beating Dwyer on Thursday. Estime scored 21 points and knocked down four 3-pointers in the victory. The senior- laden group also features Joshua Cange and Justin Roseme. The pair have combined to average nearly 27 points and 11 rebounds per game. Rosme leads Santaluces in assists (5.7) and steals (2.3) per game.

[player_tooltip player_id="1053915" first="Stone" last="Bureau"] - Suncoast

2024 [player_tooltip player_id="1053915" first="Stone" last="Bureau"] scored 21 points on 7-of-9 from the field in a victory over Jupiter on Thursday. The 6-foot point guard knocked down three 3-pointers and had five steals in the 31-point win. Bureau is a transitional talent with good vision in the open floor. He is averaging 12.4 points, 5.9 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 3.1 steals on the season. Bureau is a promising player next to 2023 [player_tooltip player_id="709251" first="Nate" last="Sasser"].
