As we updated our new senior class rankings, we added over 40 new names to the list. There were quite a few reasons for the influx of new names, the biggest one being that we extended the rankings from 125 to 150 prospects, but we also had guys transfer in, guys transfer out, new names emerge and as always, we also just flat out forgot some guys which I’m sure we did in this one as well.

Regardless, we will take a look at the new names in our rankings, starting with part one featuring 10 guys we have added from the last rankings.

[player_tooltip player_id="1091480" first="Camryn" last="Carter"] | 6’2” PG | Oak Hill Academy (#6 Overall)

Carter is a new addition to a talented Oak Hill team that is, per usual, ranked in the top 10 in the country. The Louisiana native had a great showing on ESPN against a talented Lake Norman Christian team, as he showed he’s a guy who can play on or off the basketball, he has a good basketball IQ and he can make shots from multiple levels both off the catch and off the bounce. He holds offers from a slew of mid and high major programs and looks like one of the top available guards in the country right now.

[player_tooltip player_id="1091481" first="Elijah" last="Kennedy"] | 6’3” WG | Green Run (#33 Overall)

Kennedy had a breakout year for Green Run last year where he was named First Team All State on the way to Green Run’s state championship, and he followed it up with a big summer and fall in multiple events where he showed he’s a scholarship level prospect that will only continue to get better moving forward. He has good size and is a good athlete, he has an absolute flamethrower from deep and he’s shown he can work off the ball to get open and he can put it on the deck and get to his spots as well. He’s a late bloomer that will be a steal for a program that takes a chance on him.

[player_tooltip player_id="1091482" first="Trenton" last="Picott"] | 6’7” PF | South County (#36 Overall)

Picott is a kid I just forgot to rank in the last rankings, and he showed how stupid I was for doing that as he’s been fantastic this fall in a number of events. He’s someone who projects as a high upside glue guy at the next level, as he’s a versatile big who can guard multiple positions, will do the dirty work in the paint and he’s able to play in transition with the guards. He can score it out to the midrange and is very efficient around the rim, he plays with a high motor on both ends of the floor and he has a lot of room to improve moving forward still.

[player_tooltip player_id="1091483" first="Greg" last="Spurlock"] | 6’4” PG | Rock Ridge (#44 Overall)

Spurlock is a guy who had a great junior year at Rock Ridge, but not many people knew about him as they aren’t exactly the biggest basketball powerhouse in an area that’s chock full of them. However, Coppin State had done some research and offered Spurlock, who accepted the offer and looks like a good get in the MEAC with his mix of size, athleticism and true point guard ability. At his size he can see over guys and makes good decisions and passes off the bounce, he can use his size to finish around the rim when he gets downhill and he’s a true leader and playmaker on both ends of the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id="1091484" first="Davian" last="Coleman"] | 6’8” C | VB Sports Academy (#48 Overall)

Coleman is one of the most underrated and under recruited guys in the 757, but he’s starting to see that pick up as he’s picked up multiple division two offers and is seeing interest from division one programs. The 6’8” big man is a project but he shows the motor and rebounding ability to make an immediate impact on both ends of the floor, especially on the offensive glass where he pursues the basketball and is always in the right place at the right time. He’s a low maintenance guy that is just scratching the surface and he can make an impact without running a lot of plays for him.

[player_tooltip player_id="1091485" first="Yusef" last="Salih"] | 6’2” PG | Highland School (#55 Overall)

The Idaho commit was another guy I flat out forgot about in the last rankings, but he was someone I saw potential in from day one. He plays alongside a Villanova commit in the backcourt so he isn’t always on the basketball, but during the fall he got a chance to be on the ball and show what he brings as a floor general and a dual threat that can both score it and create for others off the bounce. He’s a guy who has good size and can score it from multiple levels, he’s a good athlete and he can defend the basketball well too.

[player_tooltip player_id="1091487" first="Geremy" last="Robinson"] | 6’2” CG | Oscar Smith (#62 Overall)

A transfer from Hawaii that’s joining a talented Oscar Smith backcourt, Robinson is a guy who will surprise a lot of people in the 757 as he’s a guy who just flat out knows how to play the game. He’s a combo who’s strong a quick off the bounce, can score it at the rim in traffic with his strength and he can stick it from deep consistently. He has a good IQ on both ends and doesn’t force the issue, and he can get it going quickly and can fill it up in bunches.

[player_tooltip player_id="1091488" first="Jaden" last="Baker"] | 6’2” SG | Christchurch (#63 Overall)

Baker quietly had a big season at Christchurch last year after transferring from Wikimoko in Salisbury, MD, and he’s a guy I didn’t know much about until I came across some tape on Hudl and started to do a little research. A long and athletic guard that can fill it up in a number of ways, Baker was the team’s leading scorer last year and showed he’s a well rounded guard that can do a little bit of everything for his team while scoring it efficiently. He’s a big time finisher above the rim, he’s shifty off the bounce and can make others on his team better as well.

[player_tooltip player_id="1091489" first="Ariel" last="Goddot"] | 6’4” PF | Bishop Ireton (#64 Overall)

Goddot is the definition of a mismatch as he has a mix of strength, skill and athleticism that is extremely tough to match up with. Last year’s leading scorer for Ireton, Goddot is a guy who can post you up and use his quickness to spin off either way, he can use his touch to shoot the rock out to the three-point line and he can use his athleticism to handle the rock in transition or get downhill where he’s able to go up top and finish above the rim. He brings it on both ends and is a stat sheet stuffer with his ability to score and rebound at a high clip.

[player_tooltip player_id="1091490" first="Cephas" last="Wilson-Bahun"] | 6’6” PF | John Paul the Great (#66 Overall)

Wilson-Bahun is a guy who has come on the scene strong this past summer and fall, and he was a breakout guy at the CBG Fall Series where he started picking up interest from a number of schools. A high motor and athletic four man, Wilson-Bahun is a guy who will protect the rim and is great at chase down blocks, he finishes well above the rim when he gets downhill and he thrives in transition as he can run the floor with guards. He’s a high academic kid who will work equally as hard on the court as he does in the classroom and has a lot of room to get better moving forward.
