Grace Christian 2023 Wing Jesse Mitchell is definitely a prospect that colleges should put on their target list. He’s about 6’4 and can play on the wing due to his ability to score the ball from multiple levels but what really impressed us was his rebounding. All game long he was working to battle for positioning for rebounds. He finished the game with game high of 22 Points and double figure rebounds.
Davidson Day 2023 Guard Trey Horton is a player that many already know about, he’s played with Team Curry over the summer and turned heads with his play and potential. Personally this was my first time getting the opportunity to see him live and he was impressive overall. He has a physique that is beyond his years as well as a nice IQ for the game to go along with outstanding shooting mechanics.
Freedom Christian Junior Guard Jalen Higgins is known as a shooter and we saw some flashes of that but he’s a solid overall player. His IQ for the game is high, he doesn’t force plays and doesn’t turn it over often.
New Life Junior Guard Tre Gasque put on a highlight show on Saturday, throwing down poster dunks time and time again. He would finish with a team high of 20 Points with 14 of the 20 coming in the second half. Throughout the early part of the season he’s shown some flashes of how good he can be ,so it will be interesting to see if he can continue to put together performances like we saw from him against Grace Christian.
CFCA Junior Forward Jabare Perry wont wow you with plays above the rim but what will impress you is his overall skillset. He showed that he knows how to use his height at 6’8 and strength to make plays in the paint, take advantage of the mismatches he had throughout the night.
