- DeLaSalle
- Richfield

- Mankato East
- Austin
- South St. Paul
Notes
- The Top 25 for Class AAA will be released on Monday
- I honestly wanted to put Byron and South St. Paul as a tie for 10 but the formatting wouldn’t allow it so you will see Byron at 11 on Monday. South St. Paul’s loss of Max Wilson and the upswing of the Bears had me going back and forth and I really couldn’t pick one.
- Austin is going to be better this year. Mankato East will not take the dive many think they will with so many starters graduating. They will contend for the Big Nine along with Owatonna and Mayo (both AAAA schools).
- We previewed Marshall yesterday, they will have a top Class AAA backcourt.
- Hibbing brings back everything from an excellent team. They are a top Class AAA contender.
- Once the Columbia Heights transfers mix chemistry wise with the already talented junior CH has, the Hylanders will be deep, talented, big, and athletic.
- Richfield was 23-5 last year and lost only a bit of their rotation. The Spartans will get even better.
- Don’t forget about the Islanders! They are still the defending Class AAA champs, and champs seven times in the last eight seasons of this group of basketball. The talent is there to contend.
- Minnehaha Academy and Totino-Grace. When it comes to talent in the state of Minnesota, these two programs may have the most. Certainly Minneapolis North, Wayzata, and the senior class of Waseca can make arguments but most would side with the Hawks and Eagles. Both teams have the type of talent that will be a lot of fun to track all year.
