Aaron Clark Aaron Clark 6'6" | SG Brewster Academy | 2023 State #135 Nation New E , 6’5 St. Benedict’s
The Grey Bees will be one of the top teams in New Jersey again this season, especially with the addition of Clark. The Easton transfer has a good handle and can beat his defender off the bounce. Clark is a crafty finisher around the basket and is unafraid of drawing contact. He is a terrific passer and uses his height to scan the defense. Clark is a talented guard who should have a strong debut season for St. Benedict’s.
Richard Machado Richard Machado 6'1" | CG Saddle River Day | 2023 State NJ , 5’10 Saddle River Day
Machado’s college future will be as a lead guard, but he has the ability to play off the ball. The 5’10 guard knows how to move off the ball and is a knockdown shooter from behind the arc. Machado has a smooth release on his jumper, but can also get to the basket off the bounce. He moves his feet well on the defensive end and makes good decisions with the ball in his hands. Machado is in store for a big sophomore season for Saddle River Day as he gets more touches in the offense.
Sebastian Robinson Sebastian Robinson 6'2" | CG Roselle Catholic | 2023 State NJ , 6’2 Camden
The Panthers have one of the top guard groups in the state with Robinson being one of the better young guards in the state. The 6’2 guard has a tight handle and knows how to finish around the rim. Robinson is more than just a slasher as he has a nice shooting stroke and can get hot from distance. He is a solid on-ball defender and goes after rebounds on both ends of the floor. Robinson is a tough guard prospect who is the perfect compliment to Wagner Jr. and Cian Medley Cian Medley 6'0" | PG Camden | 2023 State NJ in Camden’s loaded backcourt.
Mehki Slye Mehki Slye 6'3" | CG Olympus Prep | 2023 State NJ , 6’3 Olympus Prep
Slye has the potential to play on the ball in college, but will be relegated to playing off the ball with the presence of Guy Fauntleroy Guy Fauntleroy 6'0" | PG Olympus Prep | 2022 State NJ . The 6’3 guard is at his best in transition where he puts defenders in a tough spot to defend him. Slye is a good finisher around the basket and does not mind drawing contact. He has a good release on his jumper and is a capable on-ball defender. Olympus Prep is filled with talent, but Slye should still be able to make an impact due to his scoring ability.
Respect Tyleek Respect Tyleek 6'1" | CG Jackson Memorial | 2023 State NJ , Lakewood
Tyleek will be a point guard at the next level, but does play off the ball for the Piners due to the presence of Samir Padilla Samir Padilla 5'10" | PG Jackson Memorial | 2023 State NJ . He is a crafty guard who is at his best attacking the basket. Tyleek is a good finisher around the basket and is able to draw contact with consistency. He is an underrated passer and uses his long arms to create disruption on the defensive end. Tyleek and Padilla are a skilled guard duo who should lead Lakewood’s offense for the next three seasons.
