Elijah Knox – McKinney Boyd – 2023
One of the guys that people need to keep an eye on in the McKinney basketball scene is Mr. Knox. The man is only a sophomore, but he brings true potential for the future of the Broncos. He is a little shorter right now, but with this speed and his ability to drive into the paint and score, does it really even matter? Overall, Elijah will probably gain a couple of inches in the next couple of years which would give me the green light to pick up on this shifty guard.
Jackson Steele – McKinney HS – 2022
Jackson is another guy on the rise that looks great going into his junior year. The 6’3 guard from McKinney is a guy that plays in the clutch mindset. For his first game of the night at the showcase, Steele ended the game with a jumper to win. When it comes to his grassroots team, he plays for NTX Elite, and obviously he plays High School ball for McKinney. Him and his teammate

are the Junior guys to look for on this Lions team.
Isaiah Hyman – Plano East – 2021
Probably the best player at this showcase from Plano was Isaiah. He was on varsity last year as a junior, and he was only 1 of 3 juniors on the entire team. As a senior, he will be a starter, and he should be able to show his talent. This past summer, he averaged 10.4 points per game and 5 rebounds per game for NTX Crush. The combo guard is a quick player around the corners of screens, and he was a defensive machine.
PJ Twa – McKinney Boyd – 2021
The 6’3 guard from McKinney Boyd is around 165 pounds which gives him an advantage as he is a knockdown shooter. The size ratio reminds me of someone like Kevin Durant, and his ability to get up the three quickly is impressive. The kid has great vision and he talks to his teammates which is why he can be such a great teammate himself. PJ is great at getting in position, so hopefully his talents can help reshape this McKinney Boyd team in his senior year. The Broncos were 11-15 finishing 7th in their district last year which just proves that the potential is there with talent like Twa.
