A couple of weekends ago, PrepHoops Indiana put on their 7th annual Senior Showcase in Fort Wayne, IN. This was a massive event and tons of seniors from 6 different states were able to showoff their talent and skills to over 120 college coaches that watched both in-person and virtually. Over the next few weeks, we are going to breakdown each team and evaluate each player from that team. Today, we look at Team 7.

Team 7:

[player_tooltip player_id="921004" first="Terrance" last="Moncrief"] – 5’11″ PG – Joliet West IL:

Moncrief is smaller, quick lead guard with great court IQ. Highly energetic and sets up his teammates well for buckets. Can score if he needs to and moves pretty well without the ball, also. Does look to have the potential of being a high-end distributor at the next level. Finished with 19 points on the day and looked pretty impressive each game. Was one of the more asked about prospects on the day.

[player_tooltip player_id="647227" first="Will" last="Shank"] – 6’4″ SG – Canterbury IN:

Shank is a tall shooting guard with a ton of talent. Elite scorer and proved that with dropping 34 points on the day. Real tough at going to the rim and finishes very well as he did with an impressive one handed slam. Awesome defense and had a few steals throughout the day. When Shank is locked in he just so tough to stop. Shank had one of the better performances at this event.

[player_tooltip player_id="983905" first="Jayden" last="Alfred"] – 6’4″ SF – Mancelona MI 3:

Alfred is a tough wing that makes a ton of hustle plays. Drives the ball with a ton of force and has a nice reverse layup in his game. Only finished with 6 points but did a bunch of things to help his team out. Just looks like a player that is going to leave it all on the floor and do what it takes for a win. Little out of control at times on the offense but Alfred is a player that could thrive at the next level just based off his work ethic.

[player_tooltip player_id="920971" first="Phillip" last="Berryhill"] JR – 6’7″ SF/PF – Curie IL:

Berryhill is a real long wing with a ton of athleticism and potential. Has great shot blocking ability and his long frame and arms really helps him standout on the defensive end. Great at getting to the rim uses long strides to do so. Handled the ball a little too much at times instead of moving it. Berryhill is just the type of player that can continue to get better and better with the right coaching. Finished with a nice 29 points.

Zach Lomalie – 6’0″ PG – Boone Grove IN:

Lomalie is a shorter lead guard. Plays more of combo guard right now but will probably transition into only a lead guard at the collegiate level. Good shooter and had three 3's on the day and finished with 17 points in total. Needs to add some more size and bulk up some more. Has a real high GPA of 3.80 and wants to pursue a degree in Sports Management. Overall, pretty solid showing from Lomalie.

Mason Closson – 6’0″ SG – Bethany Christian IN:

Closson is shorter but strong lead guard. Not a whole was show on the offensive end as he ended up with only 8 points in total. Was, however, pretty aggressive on the defensive end causing a few key stops. High GPA of 3.50 and wants to pursue a degree in Business. Needed to see his offense a bit more but that could happen during his upcoming senior season.

Nick Center – 6’3″ SG – Madison Consolidated IN:

Center is a taller shooting guard that is so smart and physical with his play. Insane motor and really tries to hammer it inside almost constantly. Sneaky athleticism and showed that with a slam at one point. Had a block and kept up his energy on the defensive end all three games. Twice I have seen him play and I think he could make a case as one of the more underrated players in the state of Indiana. Good showing from Center here with finishing with a total of 28 points.

[player_tooltip player_id="920977" first="Reggie" last="Ward"] – 6’6″ PF – Curie IL:

Ward is a big forward that can play inside and out. Good rebounder and shoots the mid-range well. Looks like he prefers to bang down low more often than not. Real good about finishing down low and had a strong and1. Just a strong bodied forward that can really score and defend at a high level. His third game he went off with 15 points and finished the day with 25 points overall with one 3-pointer.

[player_tooltip player_id="963906" first="Lane" last="Lauderbaugh"] – 6’6″ SF/PF – South Decatur IN:

Lauderbaugh is a tall wing with a lot of skill. Just an all-around good player and can do multiple things on both ends. Showed some great outside shooting having a total of four 3's. He is at his best on offense as a shooter around the wing spot with just a smooth release on his shot. Great defender that can guard multiple spots. Finished the day with an impressive 30 points and showed why he is one of the top prospects in Indiana.
