DJ Thomas DJ Thomas 6'2" | PG Liberty | 2024 #19 Nation NV 6’0 PG Liberty (#1) – DJ Thomas DJ Thomas 6'2" | PG Liberty | 2024 #19 Nation NV is only 14! What’s most impressive about that isn’t that he’s the number 1 player in his class, but that fact that he plays with the maturity, poise and IQ of a 10 year league vet. Handle, shooting, and passing all check out, but it’s his intangibles that have him on top of our list, as well as make him a threat to have a long career playing this game.
Taj DeGourville Taj DeGourville 6'4" | SF Red Rock Academy | 2024 State #203 Nation NV 6’3 SG Durango (#3) – Degorville simply overpowers his opponents. Because of his size and strength, it’s sometimes easy to overlook his skill. He has a good behind the back COD and is a knock down shooter from deep when he gets his feet set. Degorville has all the tools to be a high major prospect one day.
Ryder Elisaldez Ryder Elisaldez 6'1" | CG Bishop Gorman | 2024 State NV 6’1 SG Bishop Gorman (#4) – The athletic two man has a nice skill set. He’ll defend for you, get paint touches and make plays for teammates. His ceiling is probably tied into him developing his point guard skills, however I can certainly see him becoming a high major combo.
Josiah Cunningham Josiah Cunningham 6'2" | SG Coronado | 2024 State #225 Nation NV 6’0 SG Coronado (#5) (featured image) – Cunningham is a natural scorer with a nose for the basket. Perhaps the quickest first step in the class, he has no problem putting instant pressure on the defense. One of the better two way players in his class, Cunningham possess great lateral quickness and a willingness to defend on ball.
David Nealy David Nealy 6'2" | SG Stranahan | 2026 #27 Nation FL 6’0 SG Bishop Gorman (#6) – If it wasn’t for the fact that he’s a lefty, it would be difficult to separate Cunningham from Richardson. Richardson also possess a terrific first step, is a terror in transition, and defends his position well.
Alijah Adem Alijah Adem 6'2" | PG Spring Valley | 2024 State #174 Nation NV 6’0 PG Spring Valley (#7) – The Spring Valley program is ecstatic to have Adem playing for them this year. The young PG is the perfect fit to a gritty group that has championship aspirations. His handle is wicked, and he is already one of the off the best off the bounce shooters in the state.
Jamison McCall Jamison McCall 6'0" | CG Spring Valley | 2024 State NV 5’11 CG Shadow Ridge (#10) – Had to double check my list but McCall is the only Combo in the class of 2024. Lot of this has to do with his effectiveness when he’s in catch and shoot situations. He has a quick release and shoots it with range. He also possesses a nice handle, allowing him to spend time playing the 1 as well.
Gregory Burrell Gregory Burrell 6'0" | SG Desert Pines | 2024 State NV 6’0 SG (#12) – High motor guy that brings it on every possession. It’s almost unfair to label Burrell any position, as he relishes the opportunity to battle anyone on the court. Like all young players, he needs to refine his skills, but his consistent energy and effort make him a high valued young prospect capable of making an immediate impact.
