Here is the second half (the top half) of the NHR 17 and Under All State Team. The top players of those in the 17u division that were able to play this summer. Again, Remember.....

There are some things you must know before we start honoring the players:

Some teams played 3 or 4 events, some teams played in 6 or 7. I tried to weigh that into these choices

There are guys like [player_tooltip player_id="774734" first="Reid" last="Patterson"] who played part of the year and deserved a spot but only so high

Keep in mind some big names – [player_tooltip player_id="532574" first="Chet" last="Holmgren"], [player_tooltip player_id="850703" first="Camden" last="Heide"], [player_tooltip player_id="850702" first="Prince" last="Aligbe"], [player_tooltip player_id="680229" first="Hercy" last="Miller"], [player_tooltip player_id="774733" first="Bryce" last="Lance"], more - that didn't play at all, or played only a single weekend. So this year we are missing some stars

Without a lot of consistency based on the current situation I had a very hard time leaving kids that should be honored off lists which is why I had another group of 25 players yesterday which can be seen here - https://prephoops.com/2020/08/the-nhr-all-state-team-the-first-half/ .

[player_tooltip player_id="567035" first="Will" last="Tschetter"] of Minnesota Heat (2021). I would say that the individual summer MVP was likely Michigan committed top 100 senior national talent [player_tooltip player_id="567035" first="Will" last="Tschetter"]. When it comes to numbers and consistency in big games, Will was outstanding all year.

Tamin Lipsey of D1 Minnesota (2022). The other guy that would likely get some MVP votes is lead guard Tamin Lipsey from Iowa. Honestly, you would never know that this young man is coming off of a torn ACL from last winter. Outstanding defender and leader.

David Joplin of D1 Minnesota (2021). Texas committed top 150 national talent from Wisconsin who came over to D1 Minnesota and was their main scoring option. Quickly earned the respect of many in this state for his aggressive battle to point production.

[player_tooltip player_id="850701" first="Tre" last="Holloman"] of Howard Pulley (2022). The way Holloman led a younger Pulley team (mostly 2022s) to wins against some of the better 17u teams from Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska, and South Dakota this summer speaks volumes. Great finish outplaying 5-star Hunter Sallis.

[player_tooltip player_id="532569" first="Andre" last="Gray"] of Grassroots Sizzle/Minneapolis North 17U (2021). [player_tooltip player_id="532569" first="Andre" last="Gray"] earned this spot with his outstanding weekend in Iowa the second weekend of August followed by a strong showing locally in the Heat event. Took the go to scorer spot for Sizzle and ran with it.

[caption id="attachment_1030689" align="alignright" width="150"] [player_tooltip player_id="532560" first="Ryan" last="Dufault"][/caption]

[player_tooltip player_id="754315" first="Eli" last="King"] of D1 Minnesota (2022). Played the combo guard role at a high level for D1 Minnesota mixing highlights with key creations for teammates.

[player_tooltip player_id="532560" first="Ryan" last="Dufault"] of Minnesota Heat (2021). The only other guy on this list who was playing at a high level every single time I watched them was Holloman. That's elite company for Dufault who lead Heat to a one loss summer.

[player_tooltip player_id="567044" first="Francis" last="Nwaokorie"] of Minnesota Fury (2021). Double-double gathering big man from the Fury that led them in many categories and is now getting the D1 offers he deserves.

[player_tooltip player_id="532587" first="Andrew" last="Morgan"] of Minnesota Heat (2021). Up for highlight of the summer was the game saving block that Morgan had on Tamin Lipsey at the end of July. Morgan opened strong and was consistent the rest of the summer.

[player_tooltip player_id="774755" first="Noah" last="Paulson"] of Playmakers North (2021). [player_tooltip player_id="774755" first="Noah" last="Paulson"] went at every big in the state of Minnesota (Fury guys, D1 Minnesota, Heat, etc) and held his own. Paulson played with the best of the best and earned their respect.

NHR All State - 3rd Team

[caption id="attachment_1004318" align="alignright" width="150"] Davon Townley[/caption]

Davon Townley of Grassroots Sizzle (2021). Townley led the Sizzle on the glass and was the second leading scorer.

[player_tooltip player_id="532605" first="Treyton" last="Thompson"] of D1 Minnesota (2021). Thompson was consistent boarding, blocking shots, defending the post, moving the ball, and finishing two-thirds his attempts. A Minnesota commit.

[player_tooltip player_id="774738" first="Jaelen" last="Treml"] of Minnesota Select (2021). [player_tooltip player_id="774738" first="Jaelen" last="Treml"] is in the running with [player_tooltip player_id="774755" first="Noah" last="Paulson"] for "Pleasant Surprise of the Summer". Outstanding run with Select.

[player_tooltip player_id="891901" first="Ahjany" last="Lee"] of D1 Minnesota Prospects (2022). Sometimes second teams can be afterthoughts but not the Prospects. Ahjnay Lee proved to be a high major talent while leading D1mnP to many wins.

[player_tooltip player_id="850731" first="Ayden" last="McDonald"] of Playmakers North (2022). Said it before and I will say it again, [player_tooltip player_id="850731" first="Ayden" last="McDonald"] is one of the top five passers I have seen in Minnesota in the last ten years.

NHR All State - 4th Team

[caption id="attachment_1027358" align="alignright" width="150"] [player_tooltip player_id="774747" first="Reagan" last="Koch"][/caption]

[player_tooltip player_id="927793" first="Ariel" last="Bland"] of D1 Minnesota (2021). Great summer for Bland, proved he can be a standout player in one of college basketball's top ten conferences.

Josh Strong of Minnesota Heat (2021). Ran the Heat offense well and stepped into the 3rd/4th scoring role well for the Heat.

[player_tooltip player_id="774747" first="Reagan" last="Koch"] of Minnesota Crossfire (2021). The Crossfire was the biggest surprise of the year team wise jumping into the top 5-6 area and it was Reagan leading the way doing everything.

Luke Healy of Minnesota Fury (2021). Extremely steady point guard out of Wisconsin that scored when needed but spent his time giving the Fury staff a consistent comfort.

[player_tooltip player_id="796947" first="Caleb" last="Siwek"] of Howard Pulley (2022). The second leading scorer for the Panthers, Siwek was the big shot maker that Pulley could constantly count on.

NHR All State - 5th Team

[caption id="attachment_1030676" align="alignright" width="150"] [player_tooltip player_id="567041" first="Kyreese" last="Willingham"] (4)[/caption]

[player_tooltip player_id="774744" first="Eddie" last="Beeninga"] of Minnesota Fury (2021). Eddie was often a late game playmaker on either end.

[player_tooltip player_id="774736" first="Cade" last="Haskins"] of D1 Minnesota (2021). Shot the ball well all summer and played a consistent floor game both ways.

[player_tooltip player_id="774827" first="Jakob" last="Braaten"] of Minnesota Rise (2021). Braaten proved to be one of the state's toughest, and smartest lead guards.

[player_tooltip player_id="774801" first="Mattie" last="Thompson"] of Playmakers North (2021). An explosive finisher for the Playmakers that showed he's a true scholarship talent.

[player_tooltip player_id="567041" first="Kyreese" last="Willingham"] of Minnesota Heat (2021). Willingham gave the Heat defense and about 3-4 buckets every contest.
