The Invite: Top Rebounders

Some of the best players in every class are taking part in the Invite. The Invite is a league to display some of the top talent around. With players from every class participating, lets take a look at some of the top rebounders in the league.

Lionel Kumwimble-2021-Dunbar HS- Lionel is currently leading The Invite league with 18 rebounds after one game. A solid build player at 6’8”, Kumwimble does his job for his team by cleaning up the boards. A very unselfish player, Lionel gives his teammates more opportunities to score when he kicks the ball back out to guards. I would like to see him assert hisself more offensively. Any college coaches looking for some one to rebound should definitely take a look at Lionel Kumwimble.
[player_tooltip player_id="922992" first="Sekou" last="Kalle"]-2021-DeSales HS-Sekou is a strong 6’10” post player who goes after every rebound. Currently ranked second in rebounding at The Invite league, he does a great job of getting his self into position to rebound. He is the kind of player that does his work early. He has a quick second jump. Sekou just doesn’t have to rely on getting put backs either. He has some offensive tools to go along with his rebounding ability.

[player_tooltip player_id="700960" first="Zek" last="Montgomery"]-2021-Fern Creek HS- Zek is a 6’5” wing with long arms and athleticism. Montgomery does a great job of rebounding out of his area. Tied for second in rebounding in The Invite league. Any college coach would love to have a kid that is a big time rebounder from the wing position. He gives hisself the opportunity to score more because he will crash the offensive glass hard.

[player_tooltip player_id="692942" first="Christian" last="Spalding"]-2022-Eastern HS- Christian who is a point guard is currently ranked fourth in rebounding at The Invite league. As a former collegiate coach, having a point guard who can rebound is a dream come true. Spalding who is 6’2”, grabbed 12 rebounds in the opening night of action. Christian will have a solid collegiate career at a mid major school with his scoring and rebounding ability. He will definitely be able to get more points per game because of it.

Tied at fifth are a few players and I would like to mention them and give them recognition:
