This past Saturday Soldier Sports hosted a top 24 event for the 2021 Senior Class at Bellevue East High School. The gym was filled with some of the top talent in the state going head to head. Here’s a look at some of the top-performing Point Guards during Saturday’s event:

(No particular order)

[player_tooltip player_id="890470" first="Kwat" last="Abdelkarim"] - Lincoln North Star (6’3): Kwat is one of top uncommitted players in the state. He is an athletic point guard with a great feel for the game. Kwat has an overall great feel for the game, he facilitates the offense well and has the ability to make shots with a high degree of difficulty when things get stagnant offensively. Kwat showed off his range Saturday with several contested three-point jumpers off the dribble. Kwat showed he can put the ball in the hoop at all three levels effectively. He should be in store for a big senior season.

[player_tooltip player_id="890465" first="Cam" last="Binder"]- Auburn (5’11): [player_tooltip player_id="890465" first="Cam" last="Binder"] had a solid outing Saturday. Cam is a great ball-handler who the defense needs to be aware of at all times because of his shooting ability. He shot it well from deep off the dribble and off catch. He’s not the tallest guard at 5’11 but has a solid build and Binder plays really hard all the time with a great motor.

[player_tooltip player_id="773431" first="Chucky" last="Hepburn"]- Bellevue West (6’1): Hepburn the Wisconsin Commit participated in the event on Saturday. He dominated the scrimmages. Chucky ran the show for the white squad an did a little bit of everything Saturday. He played passing lanes early and got deflections to create some easy transition dunks to get himself going. As the scrimmage progressed, he came off some ball screens for some deep 3-pointers. His play on both ends of the court helped his team win both scrimmages comfortably. Hepburn seemed to control the pace of the scrimmages, no matter the matchup. He left no doubt in anyone’s mind on why he’s the #1 ranked point guard in the state.

[player_tooltip player_id="890467" first="Lucas" last="Vogt"]- BRLD (5’11): The 3-time state champion [player_tooltip player_id="890467" first="Lucas" last="Vogt"] was solid on Saturday. Vogt plays with a high IQ at all times. He is a floor general that makes great decisions under pressure. He split defenders a couple times for some explosive finishes at the rim. His first step is second to none. He’s not only capable of finishing up at the rim but has great elevation on his mid-range when he has the opening. He was one of the smallest guys on the court, but was never a liability defensively. Vogt hopes to continue to gain traction on his recruitment as he is in pursuit of his 4th state title.
