Amari Odom Amari Odom 6'3" | CG Panther Creek | 2023 State NC and Jaybron Harvey Jaybron Harvey 6'5" | PF Southern Durham | 2023 State NC were standout prospects once again for Team Hoop State at Rock the Rock as they took home the 15U Orange championship with a 65-64 victory over Big Shots Elite North Carolina (Lewis). Odom manned the point guard spot, distributing and getting teammates involved while Harvey exerted his dominance in the post. Harvey posted 16 points in the title game and ended up averaging 12.5 ppg by the conclusion of the event.
Treymane Parker Treymane Parker 6'3" | CG OT Elite | 2023 #169 Nation GA , Isaiah Washington Isaiah Washington 6'5" | SG Winston-Salem Christian | 2024 State NC and Tyler Thompson Tyler Thompson 6'6" | PF Panther Creek | 2023 State NC made it to the title game and combined for 56 points, but it wasn’t enough in the end as they fell to Team HoopState. Washington finished with 24 points and four made 3-pointers while Parker finished with 22 points and a made 3-pointer. They’re a dynamic backcourt that showed off this grassroots season. Thompson is a prospect that’s grown a ton over the summer in the frontcourt. He’s a 6-foot-5 forward due for a big boost in the upcoming rankings update.
Dylan McBride Dylan McBride 6'0" | PG West Carteret | 2023 State NC and Derrick Green Derrick Green 6'9" | C Fayetteville Academy | 2023 State NC were two feature prospects in the Big Shots Select North Carolina rotation at Rock the Rock. McBride knocked down eight 3-pointers while putting up 11.3 ppg at the point guard spot. He’s a smart player with a high IQ for making plays for himself and others. Lynch is a bruiser forward prospect that is a problem in the paint. He’s highly efficient with his touches around the rim and rebounds in bunches.
Brock Rose Brock Rose 6'6" | SG Florida Coastal Prep | 2024 State NC , Delani Hammonds Delani Hammonds 6'0" | CG Ardrey Kell | 2024 State NC and Sean Rose Sean Rose 6'6" | PF Charlotte Latin | 2023 State NC are three prospects to get to know from Team Synergy . Brock Rose Brock Rose 6'6" | SG Florida Coastal Prep | 2024 State NC is a 6-foot-3 versatile prospect that can fill it up from deep. He led the 15U Orange Division with 11 made 3-pointers including five made in a 17-point victory over Lowcountry Storm. Hammonds is an electric guard with good range from 3-point land, crisp handles and a knack for making plays. He knocked down five 3-pointers but he does well to find the hot hand as the team’s floor general. Sean Rose Sean Rose 6'6" | PF Charlotte Latin | 2023 State NC is a versatile forward at 6-foot-5 that can operate inside and out. He put up 10.3 ppg this past weekend, using his length and skills well to contribute in the rotation.
In the Blue division, Will Bostic Will Bostic 6'5" | PF NC GBBA National | 2023 NC and Tarice Mason were two prospects to watch with No Guts No Glory. Mason is a combo guard that’s tough to defend given his size and strength. He finished second in the division in scoring average (14.3 ppg) and total points (43). Bostic is an explosive forward with a relentless motor for attacking the rim and defending the basketball. He finished atop the division in scoring average (16.7 ppg) and total points (50) and took home MVP honors in the division.
