#44 T.J. Mills T.J. Mills 6'3" | CG Quality Education | 2021 State NC | 6’3 Guard | Quality Education
Mills will be a feature player at Quality Education under new head coach Andre Gould as he coaches a player he’s coached the past seasons at Winston-Salem Prep. He led Winston-Salem Prep to co-1A State Title honors alongside Henderson Collegiate with his ability to wreak havoc on defense and score it on all three levels on the offensive end. He can play either guard position in the backcourt given his size, ability to distribute and ability to create off the bounce. He holds an offer from Appalachian State and will be a name to keep an eye on in the Triad area.
#47 Jaheim Taylor Jaheim Taylor 6'3" | CG Princeton | 2021 State NC | 6’4 Guard/Wing | Princeton
Taylor is a prospect that’s climbed up the ranks of late given his play on the grassroots scene with Harts Select. He’s an electric prospect that can play the 2-3 position given his strength and athleticism on both ends. He rebounds in bunches and likes to get out on the break and finish at the rim. He’ll be a growing name in the Hoop State over the high school season.
#50 Darrius Davis Darrius Davis 6'4" | CG Combine Academy | 2021 State NC | 6’4 Guard/Wing | Combine Academy
Davis is another versatile prospect that’s been highly slept on despite his ability to defend at a high level and battle on the boards. He’ll be a new face at Combine Academy after spending 2019-20 after Moravian Prep. He has the ability to get to the rim and finish and can guard multiple positions on the floor. His most underrated trait may be his ability to grab rebounds, especially on the offensive end. He uses his frame well to battle in the paint and make teams pay with points on the offensive glass.
#59 Brady Rankin Brady Rankin 6'2" | CG Northwood Temple | 2021 State NC | 6’2 Guard | Hoggard
Rankin is a sharpshooting guard that’s emerged as more than just a shooter with 24Elite this past summer. He shot 39 percent from 3-point range this past high school season (80-for-205) and it translated for much of the grassroots season, but he also wasn’t shy about putting the ball on the floor and getting easy buckets in the paint. He’s developed his athleticism a ton and worked to create for himself and others in the process. He holds an offer from Young Harris.
#63 Akhiris Holden Akhiris Holden 6'5" | SF Henderson Collegiate | 2021 State NC | 6’4 Wing/Forward | Henderson Collegiate
Holden is a name to watch on the 1A level as Henderson Collegiate looks to repeat as State Champions. He rebounds in bunches, blocks shots, plays the lanes and flies around the floor for easy layups. Given his long arms and leaping ability, he has the ability to play in the paint and defend opposing forwards as well, making him a mismatch problem in the long run. He’ll look to put some of that on display as he looks to step up in the Henderson Collegiate rotation in 2020-21.
#68 Jamari Mann Jamari Mann 6'3" | CG Granville Central | 2021 State NC | 6’3 Guard | Granville Central
Mann was a 20+ ppg scorer during the high school season while knocking down 71 3-pointers for Granville Central and since then, he’s shown off a stronger figure and is way more deliberate attacking the rim. He’s a prospect that can play either guard position and defends with a presence when he’s on the floor. He’s due for some attention with teammate Terence Harcum Terence Harcum 6'1" | CG Granville Central | 2021 State NC Jr. committed to Appalachian State.
#78 Nygie Stroman Nygie Stroman 6'7" | C Richmond County | 2021 State NC | 6’6 Forward | Richmond County
Stroman was another familiar face on the grassroots stage given the success Flight 22 saw over the spring/summer. He’s a forward that establishes position on the block and possesses a number of moves to finish around the rim. He’s athletic and long enough to finish with authority and fly around for blocks as well. When he gets going, he’s hard to stop. He holds an offer from North Carolina A&T.
#79 Robert Wright Robert Wright 6'8" | PF Trinity Christian | 2021 State NC | 6’8 Forward | Trinity Christian
Wright is an emerging forward that’s already quite the rim protector but he’s finding his confidence and then some on the offensive end. He showed he can defend on the perimeter and move with purpose with the ball in his hands this summer with Garner Road 3SSB. Look for him to be a breakout prospect in Trinity Christian’s rotation in 2020-21.
