270 Hoops has led the way giving exposure to 2021 and 2022 prospects over the last two months. What I especially have liked and respected is the exposure is given to not only the D1 prospects, but for guys that fall into the D2/NAIA/D3 category. The Small College Challenge did just this with 20 prospects playing in front of multiple colleges. While the event was several weeks ago, I share today the top performers from the event and guys who impressed me.

Jacob Radcliffe 6’6 PF (Buckeye Valley)- A lengthy forward, Radcliffe may not be mentioned much in-season due to the talent around him at Buckeye Valley. The Small College Challenge allowed scouts to see what Radcliffe can bring to the table himself. Impressed in the pick-and-roll. High volume rebounder that competes on the glass. Did a nice job of initiating contact on the defensive end.

[player_tooltip player_id="805180" first="Carter" last="Jones"] 6’5 SF (Centerburg)- I’ve seen Jones several times this summer and he continues to impress with his size and skill. Brings inside-out potential with his size and strong frame. Moves well for a SF and especially defended the perimeter with his footwork and strong build. Continues to attract attention from D2/NAIA programs.

[player_tooltip player_id="967134" first="Cameron" last="Harrison"] 6’0 PG (National Trail)- Harrison was arguably one of the best guards on display at the Challenge. What I really like is how well he moves without the ball. Cuts and keeps moving to get open. Even tried to set screens to open up teammates. When the ball is in his hand, he has incredible speed and can blow-by some of the best perimeter defenders. Has a high release on his jump shot and showed he can knock down shots in the midrange. NAIA programs should have him on their radar.

[player_tooltip player_id="919034" first="Nash" last="Hostetler"] 6’4 SG (Dublin Coffman)- Another sharp shooter for Coffman, Hostetler has the size to be a mismatch issue at the next level. Combine his ability to score on the perimeter with his taller stature and you can see issues for smaller wings to defend. Nash has an automatic shot and showed he could knock down from multiple points beyond the arc. Tough kid that plays hard on both ends of the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id="919033" first="Jahki" last="Henderson"] 6’5 C (River Valley)- Henderson is listed as a Center, but he showed he could potentially be a stretch 4 at the next level. Unafraid to attempt perimeter shots, Henderson is tough with his extremely strong build. High hustle player that also makes an impact on the inside. Can rebound the ball in traffic and utilize his size.

Honorable Mention:

AJ Glover 6’3 WG (Independence)- Nice overall offensive bag; scores in various ways.

[player_tooltip player_id="967142" first="Preston" last="Crabtree"] 6’3 SG (North Union)- Pure shooter. Good midrange and pull-up jumper.

Ethan Bell 5’10 PG (River Valley)- High motor guard. Really works hard and does the dirty work diving on the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id="805196" first="Cody" last="Lantz"] 6’4 WG (Shelby)- Two-way player; impressed as a rim protector.

[player_tooltip player_id="805211" first="Maurice" last="Collins"] 6’6 PF (Thomas Worthington)- Stretch 4 that showed confidence and comfortablility on the perimeter.
