The Prep Hoops Circuit ran events in July and August. Many of the top prospects and teams from the state of Illinois participated in the events. We begin our month long review of the circuit with our Illinois All-Circuit teams. Check out the 2021 Illinois Prep Hoops Circuit Fourth Team!

On a well balanced team it is hard to pick one standout, but Corro makes the list because of his leadership, ability to make those around him better, and his improved shot making. Flashed some improvement as an athlete too.

Mathews is a big, physical, and bruising center that is headed to UMass next season. He had a strong showing on the circuit with HIT. Plays with physicality as a true five man. Anchors down low getting good position on the catch. Uses his strength and skill on the block for scores. Really good rebounder that goes after them with two hands. Solid defender around the hoop.

[player_tooltip player_id="821734" first="Jaiden" last="Lee"] (Illinois T-Wolves/Illinois Hoopstars National)

[caption id="attachment_1032299" align="alignleft" width="300"] Photo: Alec Schoof PrepHoops[/caption]

Lee is a player that we have been very high on for a while. Played with a pair of PHC teams and shined with both. Silky smooth three point shooter that has a quick release with clean mechanics off the catch. Can win on straight line drives on occasion, but his biggest value is as an elite shooter from three.

[player_tooltip player_id="920970" first="Aaron" last="McQueen"] (Illinois Jaguars)

[caption id="attachment_1020019" align="alignleft" width="300"] Photo: Matt Cletus PrepHoops[/caption]

McQueen is a power forward that has an inside/outside game. His mid-range shot is one of the better among face up fours in the class. Knocks down 15-18 foot shots with regularity. Has some skill on the block with sound footwork on post ups. Fights hard on the glass. Overall he is a productive post that gets the job done game in and game out.

[player_tooltip player_id="920947" first="Kimahri" last="Wilson"] (Beyond Ball College Prospects)

This Carmel 2021 point guard was a player we really wanted to see. His speed, quickness, and ball handling jump off the floor at you. He gets to the rim with an elite burst. Made good decisions as a passer finding teammates both in the half court and transition.

[player_tooltip player_id="920972" first="Jaden" last="Terrell"] (Team RWA)

[caption id="attachment_1024685" align="alignleft" width="300"] Photo: Alec Schoof PrepHoops[/caption]

Three and D wing from Wheeling elevated his stock this summer with a strong showing for Team RWA. The lefty is a long and lanky three man that can rain down threes with the best of them off the catch or running into them in transition. Very good perimeter defender that checks twos through fours. He showed growth as a driver with his handles tightening up and winning off the bounce more.

[player_tooltip player_id="920991" first="James" last="Ogrodnik"] (Illinois T-Wolves)

We heard buzz that this big man had made a jump in his game and that was certainly the case. Ogrodnik is a post that can stretch the floor with his shooting hitting threes at a pretty solid clip as a pick/pop threat. His bounce around the hoop was what popped to us. He threw down nasty dunks and was explosive in the paint. Put it on the deck quite a bit on takes from the high-post. Solid rebounder and has a chance to be a plus shot blocker.
