We will be breaking down each conference starting with the Class of 2021 first to show college coaches who they need to be placing a value on heading into the year.
We will continue to go through each conference to try and hit as many players as possible with the hopes of helping these seniors-to-be catch the attention of prospective college coaches.
Collin Wiltgen Collin Wiltgen 6'3" | PF South Winneshiek | 2021 State IA – South Winneshiek
South Winneshiek opened the year with a bang this past winter, finishing with 14 victories overall.
Leading returning scorer and rebounder Collin Wiltgen Collin Wiltgen 6'3" | PF South Winneshiek | 2021 State IA looks to build off a season in which the Class of 2021 prospect recorded 13.6 points and 7.5 rebounds a night.
Overall, Wiltgen finished with 313 points and 173 boards, averaging 2.6 rebounds a game on the offensive glass. He also had 36 assists, 29 steals and 18 blocks for the Warriors.
Aidan Nelson – West Central
West Central struggled last year, but they return several talented players including Class of 2021’s Aidan Nelson.
Nelson led the team with 14.3 points per game last year, shooting 43 percent overall from the floor. He finished with 272 total points to go along with 84 rebounds, 44 steals, 15 assists and seven blocked shots in 19 games.
Kole Johnson Kole Johnson 6'2" | PF North Fayette Valley | 2021 State IA – North Fayette Valley
Kole Johnson Kole Johnson 6'2" | PF North Fayette Valley | 2021 State IA helped North Fayette Valley finish with a winning record last year, leading the team with 260 total points.
Johnson averaged 14.4 points a night, shooting almost 61 percent from the field. He also had a team-high 129 rebounds, averaging over seven a game with 32 assists, 25 steals and nine blocked shots.
Jacob Herold – South Winneshiek
It was a strong season on the hardwood for South Winneshiek’s Jacob Herold a year ago.
The Class of 2021 Herold recorded 288 points to finish second on the team. He also recorded 101 rebounds, 85 assists, 37 steals and blocked a handful of shots, shooting 43 percent from the field with 22 made three-pointers.
Jonah Moore – North Fayette Valley
A proficient assist machine, North Fayette Valley’s Jonah Moore recorded 86 dimes last year for the TigerHawks.
Moore also had 77 points on 41 percent shooting with 39 steals, 24 rebounds and 13 blocked shots.
