SJR Elite had a training session today, which showcased an intriguing group of prospects. Here are the top standouts from the SJR Elite practice.
Savon Myers Savon Myers 6'5" | SF Covenant College Prep | 2023 State NJ , 6’4 SF Manchester Township 2022
Myers had a strong showing throughout the practice as he proved why he is one of the most under the radar prospects in the Shore Conference. The 6’4 wing was at his best during the 3-on-3 sessions as he showed assertiveness when he attacked the basket. Myers pushed the ball in transition and has a nice touch around the basket. He made good passes in the halfcourt and played solid defense. Myers is an athletic wing prospect who should have a good 2020-21 season for the Hawks.
Tristan Guilloutte, 6’7 C Westampton Tech 2023
Guilloutte was the tallest player at the practice, but that was not the only reason he stood out. The 6’7 big man showcased a nice release on his jumper, knocking down several mid-range jumpers during a full court shooting drill. Guilloutte used his body to get position down low and showed off a nice touch around the basket. He ran the floor well and knows how to move his feet on defense. Guilloutte is a skilled big man prospect who is a breakout candidate in the BCSL.
D’Maari Brown D’Maari Brown 5'9" | PG Manchester Township | 2022 State NJ , 5’9 PG Manchester Township 2022
Myers was not the only Manchester prospect to stand out as Brown had a strong practice as well. The 5’9 point guard has a good handle and plays under control with the ball in his hands. Brown has a nice release on his shot which he displayed during the shooting drills. He is a good on-ball defender and knows how to push the tempo as the main ball-handler. The Hawks have a strong 2022 group in Myers, Brown and Wyatt Hasselbauer Wyatt Hasselbauer 6'7" | PF Red Bank Catholic | 2022 State NJ as they look to lead them to a good 2020-21 season.
Keith Adame Keith Adame 6'1" | CG Jackson Memorial | 2023 State NJ , 6’1 CG Jackson Memorial 2023
Adame had a strong practice as he showed why he was one of the better freshmen in the Shore Conference. The 6’1 guard worked hard on both ends of the floor and knows how to move his feet on the defense. Adame is a good ball-handler and has a nice layup package around the basket. He has a good release on his shot and played well during the 3-on-3 session. Adame is a tough guard prospect who should have a good sophomore season for Jackson Memorial.
Jayden Lopez Jayden Lopez 5'10" | PG Atlantic Tech | 2023 State NJ , 5’10 PG Holy Spirit 2023
Lopez was the top shooter at the practice as he knocked down numerous shots during the shooting drills. The 5’10 guard has a nice release on his shot and knows how to shoot off the dribble. Lopez pushed the ball well during the 3-on-3 session and did not rush with the ball in his hands. He is a good ball-handler and knows how to finish around the basket. Lopez is a skilled guard prospect who should help Holy Spirit have a strong 2020-21 season.
