Scouting Minnesota is 32 articles for 32 sections, and this is article 32, 8AAAA. A group of ten very good players led by Maple Grove and Moorhead.

Five Best

[player_tooltip player_id="850738" first="Antonio" last="Bluiett"] of Buffalo. Antonio is the best player in this section and the number one playmaking threat. Has a combo guard ability that allowed [player_tooltip player_id="846116" first="Matt" last="Willert"] to have the scoring year he did, but then he’s been the Comets go to guy this summer as well.

[player_tooltip player_id="774895" first="Caden" last="Boettcher"] of Maple Grove. I would describe Caden as tougher than you know, as more agile and explosive than you know, and has the chance to be a better bucket getter with his off ball smarts and activity than people know. But every bit the game IQ and worker that people have seen.

[player_tooltip player_id="958650" first="Jon" last="Haakenson"] of Maple Grove. I’ve said this before but I want to say it again, Jon was on the floor for a 5-time section championship veteran team because of hard he competes and because his coaches trusted him both ways. He scored four baskets a game and like Caden, a high level basketball understanding.

[player_tooltip player_id="958639" first="Johnny" last="Tennyson"] of STMA. [player_tooltip player_id="958639" first="Johnny" last="Tennyson"] is about to have a breakout season. He’s a player that lets the game come to him rarely forcing anything but when the time is right Johnny has the skill and agility as a guard at 6-foot-3 to be a major number producer. Teammates like him because Johnny does everything within the framework but they also know he has big potential to be that game changer.

[player_tooltip player_id="567055" first="Brady" last="Walthall"] of Moorhead. The Spuds won 21 games a year ago and they bring nearly everything back. It’s a balanced team and we really could name a lot of guys in these spots but we start with Brady because he is one step ahead of most when it comes to skill and court understanding.

Five More

[player_tooltip player_id="774882" first="Belind" last="Alemadi"] of Moorhead. Belind will be a three year starter at PG because he is a selfless, skilled leader that loves to set the tone with his on-ball defense.

[player_tooltip player_id="957204" first="Terence" last="Anthony-Larmouth"] of Maple Grove. The Crimson have a lot of talent coming up through the system (enough to be a top 5 team in AAAA) and Terence is one of those guys. At 6-foot-6 at the forward spot Terence played every game off the bench as a junior and should have a big senior year.

[player_tooltip player_id="774890" first="Trey" last="Feeney"] of Moorhead. Double figure hard working scorer that sets the tone defensively, he is one of the most respected defenders in his class. Then you add in that he is a double figure returning scorer and you have a key player.

[player_tooltip player_id="796948" first="Brandon" last="Melchior"] of Elk River. The Elks are massive. They look like they would walk off the plane and get ready for a college game. Brandon is 6-foot-9 and the most accomplished of the bunch with a steadiness around the basket that makes him a top 2022 big.

[player_tooltip player_id="774897" first="Griffin" last="Rushin"] of Brainerd. Griffin is one of the top returning scorers in the section. All league talent that has a chance to be a 20 point per game scorer this year.
