#HardWorkSZN Kickoff: Champaign Heat 16U Film Room

<p>The action might be over in Appleton, Wisconsin from PrepHoops first event of the season, but that doesn’t mean the evaluating is!  In our Film Room Series we examine prospects from specific teams out of the state of Illinois by watching game tape from the event.  Today is our <strong>#HardWorkSZN Kickoff: Champaign Heat 16U Film Room!</strong></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="996069" first="Jimmy" last="Nixon"] (St. Thomas More – 2022)</strong></p> <p>Nixon is a 6’3” point guard that has a good feel for the game.  Pushes in transition and can really distribute the ball.  Like his overall passing feel especially in transition finding teammates including outstanding outlets.  As a scorer he did most of his damage scoring at the rim as he didn’t shoot particularly well from deep.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="863629" first="Sam" last="Bradbury"] (Mattoon – 2022)</strong></p> <p>Wide bodied five man at 6’8” that is a space eater on the interior.  Offensively he is at his best when he backs his way in over powering in one on one coverage on the block.  Finishes through contact and can seal his man off.  Area rebounder that needs to improve his free throw shooting.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="996082" first="David" last="Hubbard"] (St. Thomas More – 2022)</strong></p> <p>Hubbard is a slick scoring 6’4” shooting guard that can play a little on the ball as well.  Works in transition getting loose for finishes at the rim.  Also mixed in several smooth drives off the bounce where he would score or get fouled.  Another stellar move was when he shook his defender then drilled a pull up jumper.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="996068" first="Luke" last="Koller"] (Mahomet Seymour – 2022)</strong></p> <p>Koller stands at 6’8” with broad shoulders and good strength.  He is a quality area rebounder that high points them in traffic. Connected on baseline jumper and got to the foul line on several occasions.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Jaydin Dunlap (Bolingbrook – 2022)</strong></p> <p>Dunlap is a 6’1” point guard that is jet quick with the rock in his hands.  Was best turning defense to offense in the open floor with his speed.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Edward Alexander (Springfield Southeast – 2022)</strong></p> <p>Alexander is a junk yard dog guard that gets things done with his tenacity.  Plays really hard and has a nose for the ball.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Byron Carlo (Home School – 2022)</strong></p> <p>This small Home Schooled guard got it going in the second half with several runners and pull ups from 12 feet off dribble penetration.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Jaylen Middleton (Mattoon – 2022)</strong></p> <p>Middleton is a 6’4” wing with a long and thin frame.  Attacks off the bounce with athleticism.  Has some upside down the line! </p>
