In a matchup that locked two of the hottest 2022 recruits in a showdown, there were others that showed promise on a second watch. These were the players that filled in holes when their stars were down, they were the deciding factors. Some of these guys are under-recruited but could someday fill the holes on your roster.

[player_tooltip player_id="781882" first="Arterio" last="Morris"]

He’s quick like one dribble separation quick. His burst around picks and out of moves in space makes him a can’t miss talent. His downhill speed led him to five trips to the free throw line in his first game in four months. He did all of this against a squad that fields 7 players who will play at the next level. Normally the ball drops a lot more for the newly minted 5 star, but everyone has to shake off the rust.

Devyn Franklin

On second watch Franklin is more than a number in Dallas Showtyme’s talented ranks, he’s a project. Standing 6-7 with an athletic pop highlighted by watching him convert a one man fast break, passing two defenders and crossing over a third en route to a trip to the foul line. The rising junior shoots a soft deep ball while flashing shot creation against a talented field. He has the size to compete on the perimeter and the boards.

Kalen White

Thanks to the insane depth on Southern Assault, White isn’t the first 6-8 forward you’ll see on the court, but he shows up in film every time. White’s wiry frame and length were able to win a rebounding battle against Dallas Showtyme’s 6-6 320 four star offensive tackle turned power forward [player_tooltip player_id="1008528" first="Cameron" last="Williams"]. The effortless range he showed out to 15 feet is promising for the 2022 prospect.
