Cory Wells- Wylie High School 6’5
Cory is an athletic wing with incredibly long arms that allow him to contest shots with ease and get his hands on a tremendous amount of shots, loose balls, and opponents dribbles. His long legs allow him to take great strides down the court and he is very nimble when driving the basketball and running the break. He positions himself very well on the offensive boards to set himself up with easy tip-ins. He is very skilled at spinning and moving in the paint and post and gets to drop steps and effortless layups. With his size, I wish there were more rim wrecking dunks, but he seems to be athletic enough to pull it off and should be able to incorporate ferocious post dunks and dunks while driving to be a real offensive force at the next level.
Daylin Witherspoon- South Garland High School
Daylin is a long forward with a great ability to jump multiple times to grab rebounds and contest shots. His long arms and big hands seem to have a knack for being in the right spot to block shots and reject easy looks for his opponents. He also has a nose for picking off passes in the passing lanes and turning them into easy looks on the other end. He runs the floor well for his size and showed agility and good footwork while battling for position on the block and while boxing out in preparation for rebounds. He was able to get effortless looks in the paint on the fast break and even used silky smooth finger rolls to finish through defenders.
Ezekiel Yosia- North Garland High School 6’2
Ezekiel is a remarkably long wing who is fantastic at rejecting shots. His long arms and aware positioning allow him to bait defenders into going up for weak shot attempts so he can smack them out of bounds. He had so many chase down blocks on the fast break as well as sliding over to take charges and reject shots in the half-court. He runs the fast break with ease and loves to finish off his own highlights, routinely taking the ball the length of the court after a ferocious block and rebound or steal from playing the passing lanes. He is an elite defender at this level and his energy and constant fire he has lit underneath him should show him great success at the next level. He is keen at keeping his head up and finding open teammates in the corner or diving that result from him driving to the hole or pushing the ball up the court on the break.
Coltyn Collins- Rowlett High School 6’2
Coltyn is a sharpshooter with a high and quick release. He is extremely comfortable in the corner and can get his shot off even with a defender in his face. He showed an ability to really hit shots no matter if he was fading away from an outstretched arm, or if he got clean looks where he was able to go straight up with his shot. He rarely had games where he did not hit multiple threes and was comfortable operating without the basketball. He showed a true ability to knock down shots on the wing and in the corner, and even hit a couple of tough jumpers after forcing his defender to back up with a quick cross over or jab step.
