Will Burnett- Rowlett High School
Will is a long guard who loves to play in the passing lanes to get easy steals. He is an elite scorer on the break and loves to get to the rim and collapse the defense. His long arms and frame allow him to finish with ease even around bigger defenders. He has a real ability to finish, but I am more interested to see how he continues to develop his outside game. The finishing ability seems to always be there, but he needs more work in shooting off the dribble cleanly and getting to his spots in the mid-range and behind the arc for easy opportunities.
Donald Anderson- South Garland High School 6’0
Donald is a good shooter who plays with a true sharpshooter mentality and has a good-looking jumper. He is a deadly shooter when given a few inches of room, and he is comfortable enough to pull it even after you slightly put your arm down to defend a jab out of the triple threat. He is great at shooting off the catch and in rhythm and relies on his teammates to set him up well. But he did show an ability to get his shot off the dribble and loved utilizing a snatch back crossover to clear space for himself behind the line. He showed expertise and a good mindset to move defenders and use their momentum against them and get to the spots where he is most comfortable behind the arc and in the midrange. He had multiple games this past season in which he hit more than four three pointers a game and scored over 20 with ease.
Allen Williams- North Garland High School
Allen is great at running with the basketball and finding the right pass within the offense as well as on the break. He showed a great use of breaking down defenders with simple cross overs and changes in direction and displayed a real knack for creating for his teammates when the focus switches to him in the paint. He played good on-ball defense as well and had many clips of him poking the ball loose as his opponents try to go up for layups and floaters over him. He and his counterpart at North Garland, Miqah Matthews are both undersized guards with elite point guard skills and finishing ability. He knows how to contort his body and hit soft floaters and fadeaways in the paint as another way of finishing in the lane. When he gets a chance to get his feet set, he can knock down jumpers at a good clip.
Geontay Davis- Rowlett High School 5’11
Geontay displays true point guard instincts and has a right handle that he uses to break down defenders and get his shot up when given a few inches of space. He has an elite ability to quickly get his shot up after a flurry of dribble moves. He has a great move that he loves to break out, which is a James Harden like step back after getting his shoulders low and pretending to drive to the rim. He shoots well off the catch and has an elite scoring ability from the corner and wing. When given clean looks he sometimes takes a dribble, as he is so comfortable shooting off the bounce. This is a true sign of elite scoring ability, and he uses the mid-range well when given open looks.
