Guys ranked in the teens on the Minnesota 2022 list of talent most years would be top ten guys in the state, that’s how deep this group is.

In all ten players in the 2022 group already have high major offers ( Braeden Carrington Braeden Carrington 6'4" | SG Park Center | 2022 State #141 Nation MN and Chase Carter Chase Carter 6'7" | PF Minnehaha Academy | 2022 MN as well). I believe 14 players from the Minnesota 2022 class already have D1 offers and that number will soon grow into the 20s.
I already mentioned that seven guys are nationally ranked as top 250 players with high major offers and I feel like three more guys have the potential to eventually join those seven.
Here are three players that high major programs would be smart to start calling on right now as their physical gifts are obvious. And when the experience catches up with the size and developing skill, we could be looking at some elite talents. Get to know these three names well:
Ahjany Lee Ahjany Lee 6'9" | C Byron | 2022 State #145 Nation MN of Byron (6’9 PF) – Five Reasons Why (Before you watch the film)
- Agility at 6-foot-9 as Lee runs very well and has the ability to move laterally the way teams need him to
- Lee’s quick bounce to the rim puts him at a high level than anybody on the court
- Lee just grew another inch and remember, his sister just averaged 16 and 11 at KSU as a frosh
- Lee averaged 9 and 8 on his first season of varsity and will play with D1 Minnesota Prospects 17u this summer
- Capable of being one of the most explosive players in a stacked class.
BJ Omot BJ Omot 6'8" | PF Mankato East | 2022 State #231 Nation MN of Mankato East (6’6 Wing) – Five Reasons Why (Before you watch the film)
- BJ filled a playmaking role within a quality team concept on a team that was one of the best in the state
- Scored 11 a game playing alongside three seniors that are headed to play college basketball
- Has guard skills in a body that most would initially think is the body of a senior
- Omot is so fluid with the basketball and has the agility of the type of player that competes at the high major level
- Bryant offered and a boatload of D1 schools called BJ last week. High major should be next
Demarion Watson Demarion Watson 6'8" | SF Totino-Grace | 2022 State #150 Nation MN of Minnehaha Academy (6’6 Wing) – Five Reasons Why (Before you watch the film)
- Earlier I mentioned there were ten 2022 players that had high major offers but I mentioned just nine, Demarion is the 10th (Missouri)
- Watson-Saulsberry has a high major offer and he has barely played varsity basketball (played mostly JV last year)
- Demarion has the physical tools of length, of an explosively quick bounce, he runs well, and he can attack from a triple threat position in a blink
- This year we saw some more shooting range than we thought Demario had so there is growing skill too.
- Simply put, you watch Demarion for a half, any half, and you can see what looks like a high major player
Just a glimpse of what Demarion Watson-Saulsberry brings to the floor for Minnehaha Academy! Long 6'6 wing with a high ceiling to continue to grow as a prospect. @Minnehaha_BBall pic.twitter.com/i9Vv7jMUd2
