With no spring and summer basketball going on we wanted to do a deep dive into the prospects across the state by reviewing their season long highlight tapes and giving our evaluation of their strengths as a prospect along with projected college level. Here is our Film Room: 2021 Chicago West Suburbs Prospects Pt 3!

[player_tooltip player_id="921006" first="Nick" last="Galati"] (St. Patrick)

This 6’2” shooting guard is fun to watch. Scoring guard that is always ready to attack within the team concept. Crisp looking jump shot off the catch and does a nice job of using fakes to set up other mid-range jumpers. Nifty layup maker around the cup. Small college gem!

https://www.hudl.com/video/3/13554928/5e7cc8de176d0c0974295196

[player_tooltip player_id="921025" first="Jackson" last="Gitterle"] (St. Patrick)

Another 6’2” two guard that is similar in many respects to Galati. Gitterle is a spot up shooter that knocks down shots off the catch and is a crafty layup maker in the lane. D3 prospect!

https://www.hudl.com/video/3/13554946/5e7d8444578d2f0d5c04552f

[player_tooltip player_id="995994" first="Liam" last="Kim"] (Naperville North)

Kim is a crafty left handed point guard that is creative in the lane. Good jumper from three with not much lift on his shot. Can also knock down pull ups from the mid-range after shot fakes creating a clean look for him. Crisp passer that throws them on the money with one hand. Small college player.

https://www.hudl.com/video/3/12099134/5e95147f64defc0c885ada2a

[player_tooltip player_id="995975" first="Aryton" last="Temcio"] (Glenbard South)

New name on our radar here. The 6’3” shooting guard has nice size and length on the perimeter. His mid-range game from 15-18 feet was feathery! Lightning quick release on spot up threes. Uses body positioning well around the hoop and has an old school back down game. Solid athlete that uses length to contest shots on the perimeter. Could potentially see him being a D2 prospect.

https://www.hudl.com/video/3/9092017/5e9b2367f31ca1033888b9d8

[player_tooltip player_id="995970" first="Jack" last="Mielke"] (Downers Grove North)

Mielke is a 6’6” face up four that can really shoot the ball. He has a high release point with a quick release. In the paint he likes using hook shots banking them in off the glass. Also backs his man down from the perimeter before he scores. Crashes the offensive glass. Competes on the defensive end. High level small college player with the upside to play at the D2 level.

https://www.hudl.com/video/3/10382792/5e25480d7bddf408f8e1f25b

Markarious “Biggie” Luster (Rockford East)

This 6’2” left handed shooting guard is super explosive as a finisher in transition. Wiry athlete throws down some thunderous slams. As a shooter he can hit both off the catch and pulling up with his three point shot. Crisp pull up shot that he can create on his own. Little undersized. Right now more of a high end small college player that could definitely work his way into D2 territory!

https://www.hudl.com/video/3/10452027/5e2692e94deaf01b8ccd0afd

[player_tooltip player_id="921010" first="Josh" last="Harris"] (Timothy Christian)

Harris is a left handed two guard that is a legit threat as a shooter off the catch. Slippery driver that bursts through the hole in transition and the half court. Explosive finisher above the rim. High level small college player with the chance to elevate.

https://www.hudl.com/video/3/11643433/5e78c87fd45ff0137c706c0c

[player_tooltip player_id="921023" first="Jerry" last="Abushanab"] (Glenbard North)

Liked this 6’5” wing last summer and he has gotten even better. Long and slender frame. He is at his best in transition. Runs the floor with ease as a finisher. Handles well in the open court weaving through the defense. Has some passing flair. Slippery on straight line drives in the half court getting to the rim. Tons of arc on his shot. Potential to improve in this area. Upside defensively. High end small college prospect with D2 possibilities.

https://www.hudl.com/video/3/12096105/5e62a42ae985241b8c108f7a

[player_tooltip player_id="821856" first="Henry" last="Krzyzewski"] (Metea Valley)

This center has legit size, broad shoulders, and long arms. Good strong base on the interior. Opens up wide calling for post touches on the block. Nice hands catching passes in traffic. Not the greatest athlete, but does a nice job of using body positioning to score. Defensively he walls up as a post defender and blocks shots. High level small college post prospect.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dh_lDaZqXxk&feature=emb_logo

[player_tooltip player_id="921052" first="Danny" last="Mulcare"] (Glenbard West)

Mulcare stands at 6’6” with a long and gangly frame. The four man has touch around the hoop and understands how to be in the right spot at the right time. Catches passes in traffic. Small college big man.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RrrYPxan2x0

Aidan Murphy (Glenbard West)

Murphy is a 6’5” small forward that has a strong body with broad shoulders. Sound spot up shooter that is ready to shoot it as soon as it hits his hands. Excellent shot prep. Flashes some toughness. Small college prospect at the next level!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ets21O5Us0U&feature=emb_logo

[player_tooltip player_id="921009" first="Devon" last="Ellis"] (Conant)

Ellis a big small forward that has a very strong frame, athleticism, and broad shoulders. Plays above the rim in transition. Very powerful slasher getting to the rim in the open floor and bursting through the D in the half court. Also likes finishing in the lane with runners. Shows flashes as shooter. Low-majors/D2s should look into him.

[player_tooltip player_id="995973" first="Robert" last="Roszkiewicz"] (Addison Trail)

Came away impressed with the film of this 6’7” power forward. Good length and is very bouncy around the hoop. Quick and assertive post moves showing the willingness to go through his defender. Can put it on the deck a little and stretches the floor with his spot up shooting. Also breaks the zone from the mid-post with his turn around shot. D2s should be intrigued.

https://www.hudl.com/video/3/12051200/5e7d0d7104289b0948382eec

[player_tooltip player_id="920969" first="Kevin" last="Bozeman"] (Downers Grove North)

This 6’6” power forward fits the new age four role. Bouncy forward with mobility and projectable frame. Can play inside and out. Sound catch and shoot threat on the perimeter with his shot. Good athlete that can put it on the deck. High points rebounds in traffic with his length. Explosiveness off the ground blocking shots and contests them on the perimeter too. D2s should take a look.

https://www.hudl.com/video/3/10382778/5e710b634205f80c84baec44
