While we’ve been unable to evaluate prospects personally during the COVID-19 pandemic, we have been able to update our class of 2022 rankings due to sophomore film and new information available on prospects. Here’s a look at the players who will make the most notable jumps in the next rankings.

[player_tooltip player_id="801149" first="Jackson" last="Paveletzke"] - Shooting Guard - Kimberly

The only guy in the top 10 I’m going to move until the travel season returns, Paveletzke has emerged on the radar of a number of Division 1 schools early on. A skilled and smooth scoring guard, Paveletzke was a key performer on a senior-laden Papermaker squad. He’s going to wow anybody with strength or athleticism, but Paveletzke has a scoring mentality, a feel for the game, and a deep bag of tricks when the ball is in his possession.

[player_tooltip player_id="950097" first="Learic" last="Davis"] - Small Forward - Milwaukee Bradley Tech

Very high upside here and someone who could be a top 10 prospect when all is said and done. Davis is an explosive open floor athlete and at 6-foot-7, 175-pounds, is nowhere near tapped out physically. When there’s not a lot of traffic between him and the rim, Davis looks like a Division 1 prospect. Halfcourt skillset needs to come along, but this was one of the most improved players in the state last season.

[player_tooltip player_id="945811" first="Kenny" last="Garth"] - Guard - Westosha Central

The more I look back on 2019-20, the more Garth continues to leave a positive imprint in my mind. A combo guard with really good positional size, Garth should make a splash on the travel circuit. An excellent isolation scorer, Garth has a deadly pull-up jumper from 15-18 feet. He’s also got the tools/mentality to be an excellent defender. Saw a game where Westosha Central played without him and it was clear that Garth was badly missed.

[player_tooltip player_id="865855" first="Joah" last="Filardo"] - Guard - Mineral Point

When [player_tooltip player_id="774466" first="Isaac" last="Lindsey"] was lost due to injury, Filardo stepped up in a big way and kept Mineral Point competitive in a very tough SWAL Conference. Thought of Filardo as more of a blue collar, glue guy, but he scored the basketball much better than expected as a sophomore. Filardo averaged 20.1 points per game and hit 59 3-pointers, including eight against Darlington. He does a little bit of everything on the floor. Filardo rebounds well for a guard, locks up on defense, and can also facilitate.

[player_tooltip player_id="950101" first="Ben" last="Olson"] - Wing/Forward - Sun Prairie

Potential breakout player next season, Olson played a big role for Sun Prairie, who had a handful of key seniors leading the charge. He’s listed at 6-foot-3, but Olson plays bigger than his size and has the versatility to play and defend multiple positions. Olson was a double-figure scorer next to two senior college prospects. He showed plenty of three-level scoring ability as a kid who can play on the block, slash from the wing or high post, knock down open shots, and create off the dribble and pull-up from mid-range.
