Tylan Dunn- Lewisville High School
Tylan is a lanky defensive-minded wing with active hands that are great at poking the ball free. He is great at getting his hand on the ball, even after getting beat off the dribble. He plays the passing lanes well, and showed good skills at maintaining positioning when defending the post, and even gets to some steals by getting to entry passes. After causing turnovers, he always has his head up to move the ball up court for quick buckets on the other end.
Obi Odimegwu- Coppell High School
Obi is an undersized forward who has a knack for getting under his opponents’ skin on the defensive side of the ball. He closes out on opponents well and his quick feet allow him to stay in front of guards and defend positions 1-4 with ease. His intelligence and basketball awareness are evident when he is fighting for positioning underneath, getting underneath, and maintaining leverage by boxing out even bigger and stronger forwards. I think with his sized he has more of a chance to make it as a tenacious wing defender at the next level. I would like to see him work more with the ball in his hands and see what he can do off of a live dribble. He has the size and tools to be an effective player on both ends of the floor.
Ezekiel Onoviran- Hebron High School
Ezekiel is an athletic wing who lives above the rim and in the paint. He has true expertise in finishing down low, even with defenders draped all over him. He has the ability to shoot well off the catch in the corner for three-pointers but is truly effective at getting to the rim and shooting midrange jumpers. He is the definition of a true three-level scorer, but his lane will be carved as a slasher. This is a kid to definitely keep your eye on as he continues to develop as a basketball player.
Preston Vandermyde- Flower Mound High School
Preston operates very well without the basketball, is constantly diving to the rim at the right team to get himself open looks at the rim. He finishes well but favors his right hand a lot, I would like to see more work with his off-hand as well as more post moves or work operating off the dribble. On defense, he has a knack for boxing out defenders with ease by maintaining strong positioning down low. He loves to sky for rebounds and always has his head up to find the right outlet pass to jump-start the fast break. His intelligence to slip past defenders to clear space for himself on the offensive side of the ball is evident and he always plays hard on both ends of the court.
