3-Pack: 2021 Forwards To Watch

The change in the recruiting cycle is going to be a big change for everyone. Right as we thought we were going to be getting out on the road, we get shut down. So, in order to spend as much effort as we can in getting players seen, we are going to do what we call, 3-Packs. 

With these, we want to highlight 3 players who are similar in class and position. Get some time to dive into some quick thoughts, stat breakdowns, and film. Today, we are looking at 2021 Forwards in Flynn Carlson Flynn Carlson 6'7" | PF Victory Christian | 2021 State IN , Kooper Jacobi Kooper Jacobi 6'6" | PF Silver Creek | 2021 State IN , and Sam Mettert Sam Mettert 6'2" | SG Franklin Central | 2021 IN . 

Flynn Carlson Flynn Carlson 6'7" | PF Victory Christian | 2021 State IN – 6’7 PF 2021 – Victory Christian (IN)
Stats: 12.4 ppg, 7.5 rpg, 2.1 apg, 4.3 bpg  
Thoughts: Carlson is a long, lean forward with a ton of skill and athleticism. He is a true stretch big that can play either the post or the outside. He is one of those few bigs that has really good handles. His frame might be a bit small but he is the type of player you want defending the post based on his height and athleticism alone. He also has the skill of a lead guard as he able to find his teammates a lot. Keep this mobile, stretch big on your radar this next year. Carlson is bound to have a breakout senior season.                                             

Kooper Jacobi Kooper Jacobi 6'6" | PF Silver Creek | 2021 State IN – 6’6 SF/PF 2021 – Silver Creek (IN)
Stats: 17.3 ppg, 7.7 rpg, 2.5 apg
Thoughts: Jacobi is one of the best forwards in the entire state. His feel for the game is at an elite level and he just seems to know how to use his talents. He’s an inside-out threat who can shoot the ball well from a distance. He is a tall forward with a ton of length and size. He currently has offers from Indiana State, Bellarmine, Akron, Miami (OH), IUPUI, LaSalle, Ball State, and might be able to snag a few more this next season. Jacobi is a stud and a special player to watch. He will look to go with a bang in his senior season.                                       

Sam Mettert Sam Mettert 6'2" | SG Franklin Central | 2021 IN – 6’2 SF/PF 2021 – Franklin Central (IN)
Stats: 7.4 ppg, 2.9 rpg, 1.2 apg      
Thoughts: Mettert is a big prospect that is strong and tough all over. Pretty strong around the post and is an aggressive rebounder. Has a solid shot from the 15ft range. What makes him standout is that he is excellent at running up and down the floor. Mettert is a pretty smart forward that knows how to help his team score. Should be for an intriguing senior season.
