With the landscape of basketball currently, several schools went ahead and extended offers to prospects in Ohio’s junior class, with several of the Top 5 seeing High Major schools extend invitations to play for their respective schools after high school. The below names are just a few guys who picked up new offers, while also including a Top 10 commitment from last month.
Paul McMillan (Woodward)- offers from Purdue, Louisville, Ole Miss, Dayton
The 6’1 McMillan has seen two new offers the past two weeks from Louisville and Purdue, to go along with the already solid group he has picked up so far. The state’s top player in the 2022 class, McMillan’s ability to score with ease off the drive is what has impressed coaches so far and should allow the opportunity for more High Major offers to come in.
Josiah Harris Josiah Harris 6'7" | PF Richmond Heights | 2022 State #243 Nation OH (Richmond Heights)- offers from West Virginia, Kansas State, Ohio State, several MAC schools
Right behind McMillan in the 2022 rankings, Harris is another bouncy prospect that went from being a mainly MAC guy to receiving high major offers from Kansas State and WVU. At 6’7, Harris is athletic enough to be a match-up nightmare and with his length and athleticism, should be a solid option for any school that gets him.
Sean Jones Sean Jones 5'10" | PG Gahanna | 2022 State #102 Nation OH (Gahanna Lincoln)- offers from Mississippi State, SMU, Wichita State, Xavier
Jones benefitted from a strong sophomore season, seeing an increase in offers including an SEC offer from the Bulldogs of Mississippi State. The 5’10 PG has elite vision, playmaking ability, and has shown he can be a leader in the backcourt at a young age. High level prospect with a lot of potential the next 2 years of high school.
Bowen Hardman Bowen Hardman 6'4" | SG Princeton | 2022 State OH (Princeton)- committed to Ohio State
The Buckeyes picked up a big commitment from the 6’4 Hardman who saw improvement from his freshman to sophomore season at Princeton. He will have two more seasons to continue to add bulk but already shows flashes of being a talented player for the Bucks. Future Big Ten games between Hardman and Sonny Johnson Jr. Sonny Johnson Jr. 5'10" | PG Garfield Heights | 2022 State OH (Penn State) will make those matchups even more fun to watch.
Jacob Conner Jacob Conner 6'7" | PF Alter | 2022 State OH – (Alter)- offer from Bryant University
Conner picked up his first offer at the D1 level last month and is bound to see an increase in his stock come next year. The 6’6 wing has shown versatility as a bigger guard and will surely attract attention from MAC schools as he continues to grow and add bulk.
