The Minnesota Heat program is always deep with teams. Today’s team is Minnesota Heat Wiley, a north metro bundle of talent.

Owen Berg of Forest Lake (6’5). Berg is a bigger wing that came off the bench and scored five points a game with a few boards. Working to have a starting role next season.

[player_tooltip player_id="774895" first="Caden" last="Boettcher"] of Maple Grove (6’4). The Maple Grove program has become a model of consistency with strong players growing year after year within the system. Caden is a strong product of the Crimson program and he’s about to be the leading returning scorer, rebounder, and shot blocker for the program.

[player_tooltip player_id="957198" first="Bryce" last="Boyd"] of Holy Angles (6’4). Boyd gives the team a main scoring option, a guy that can chase down rebounds, and a long player that can defend some size, and some athletes. Bryce averaged 12 points and four boards a game and he’s a top 100 level player in the senior class.

[player_tooltip player_id="774888" first="Jordan" last="Boysen"] of Forest Lake (6’7). We’ve learned a lot about Jordan since our end of the season rankings for the 2021 class. First off Jordan is a couple inches bigger than we knew of and more skilled than we knew. Scored a dozen a game this year and is a 4.0 student.

[player_tooltip player_id="774839" first="Max" last="Kachman"] of St. Anthony Village (5’10). Max played off the ball with [player_tooltip player_id="721860" first="Tait" last="Nelson"] running the point, and on the ball at times too. He was a combo guard that averaged nine points, 4.2 boards, 3.6 assists, and 2.3 steals a contest. .

[player_tooltip player_id="774870" first="Evan" last="Kim"] of Mounds View (6’3). Evan is a crafty playmaker that has a lot of juice, confidence to his game. Uses both hands well and Evan does an incredible job of letting space develop and then attacking it to produce regardless of what’s moving around him opposition wise. Led an improved Mustangs team with 16 points per game.

[player_tooltip player_id="957644" first="Luke" last="Omodt"] of St. Anthony Village (6’5). Luke is a fantastic position defender that communicates well and does a great job moving his feet to position off the ball screen. One of the best charge takers in the metro and he averaged 9.5 points and 6.5 rebounds a contest.

[player_tooltip player_id="774923" first="Cole" last="Sorenson"] of Mounds View (5’11). In watching the Mustangs this season I enjoyed how Sorenson was a possession after possession contributor. Scored his three-four baskets a game but also created for others, rebounded, worked his way to force turnovers, and something of everything.

Andy Tran of Maple Grove (5’10). Tran played on the Crimson junior varsity team this year and could step into a key ball handling role on varsity next winter.
