Mark Armstrong Mark Armstrong 6'2" | PG St. Peter's Prep | 2022 State #39 Nation NJ (2022) | St. Peter’s Prep
Armstrong is the best player in Jersey City. He will find himself on many lists on these city rankings because of it. This includes three-point shooting where he knocked down 60 of them as a senior. Armstrong can light it up from deep or shoot off the dribble. It will be exciting to see what he does over his final two seasons and where he ends up at the next level.
Julian Caldejon (2023) | McNair
Caldejon burst onto the scene as a freshman and did not waste time building a reputation. He is a marksman from deep with a quick release and unlimited range. Caldejon showed his ability to take over a game using his ability on the offensive end.
Wendell Moreland (2022) | Lincoln
Lincoln has a star forward down low in Toriano Munford Toriano Munford 6'5" | SF Lincoln | 2021 State NJ and they have Moreland on the perimeter to give their offense a balanced attack. Moreland knocked down 23 three’s this season and was deadly from midrange. He averaged 10.2 points per game for a Lincoln team that was extremely competitive.
Isaiah Griffin Isaiah Griffin 5'11" | PG Patrick School | 2023 KS (2022) | Hudson Catholic
Griffin is already a solid prospect but he will take a massive step as a junior. Zion Cruz has transferred out of Hudson Catholic and that leaves the team in need of a new playmaker. That is Griffin. He is an elite shooter from deep and can score at all three levels. It will not be surprising to see Griffin near the top of many statistical categories next season.
Alif Bass (2022) | St. Peter’s Prep
A name that might get overshadowed by Armstrong and Rayshawn Ford Rayshawn Ford 6'2" | SG St. Peter's Prep | 2021 State NJ is Bass. This should not be the case with the way he can get hot from deep. Bass is a microwave. He heats up quickly after a make and will most likely take a few more after. Bass was one of the top shooters on his team and that will only enhance as an upperclassman.
Justin Glover Justin Glover 6'2" | SG Hudson Catholic | 2021 State NJ (2021) | Hudson Catholic
Another guard that will take a step as a senior is Glover. Hudson Catholic is set up for great success next season. Glover knocked down 29 three’s this past season. He has a quick release that he can get up over larger defenders. He has great balance and body control. Glover finds a way to square up his shoulders even in the most awkward positions. He is a tremendous talent on both ends.
