Camden County was the center of basketball this season with Camden being ranked No. 1 in the state. The center is a position that seems to be on the outskirts of high school basketball but there are still many talented bigs to keep an eye on.

[player_tooltip player_id="850506" first="Zach" last="Hicks"] (2021) | Camden Catholic

This list has to begin with Hicks. He led Camden Catholic to 20 wins and he did it with 579 points. Hicks is the definition of a stretch four. He averaged 20 points per game this season and knocked down 42 three’s. He was also a dominant rebounder with just under nine per contest. Hicks is an excellent athlete with great agility that can score at all three levels. He will have an even bigger senior year than he did as a junior.

[player_tooltip player_id="850504" first="Ta’Quan" last="Woodley"] (2021) | Camden

Camden rose to the top with a 29-1 record. Kentucky bound [player_tooltip player_id="766063" first="Lance" last="Ware"] and freshman star DJ Wagner were the catalysts but players like Woodley kept the team going. He is a big time prospect with a high ceiling. Woodley will step into an even bigger role next season and he will do it without breaking stride. Camden will be back near the top of the rankings and Woodley will be a reason why.

[player_tooltip player_id="929514" first="Zubair" last="Lee"] (2021) | Eastern

Lee kept the floor balanced for Eastern this season with [player_tooltip player_id="896459" first="Noah" last="Klinewski"] on the perimeter. Lee is a gifted athlete that can jump through the roof. He is effective on both ends of the floor rebounding the ball and scoring. He has a soft touch around the rim and at the free throw line. Lee will take the next step as a senior and turn into one of the best players in the county.

Rasheer Fleming (2022) | Gloucester

Gloucester has a bright future with Fleming and Steven Light in the Class of 2022. Fleming controlled the boards and put on a show every time out. He was a double-double machine and averaged 13.7 points and 10.9 rebounds per game as a sophomore. That is a strong campaign for a player with a high ceiling.

Todis Lampley (2021) | Lindenwold

What a season it was for Lindenwold behind Eriq Campbell and [player_tooltip player_id="900297" first="Tazir" last="Cantey"]. They won 20 games and a state sectional title. We cannot forget about the effort of Lampley on the block. He served as a rim protector and kept the floor even on offense. Lampley was talented on the boards and showed a certain reliability that is important for a team.

[player_tooltip player_id="900357" first="Nicolo" last="Nobili"] (2021) | Paul VI

Nobili scored just over 10 points per game as a junior. He knocked down 20 three’s and showed that he can score at all three levels. Paul VI has a chance to be a tough out in the county next season with Nobili dominating the paint.
