Lance Henry the 5”11 guard from Baldwin HS will Play for St Joseph’s college in Patchogue LI. Lance had a change of heart. Earlier Lance was set to try out for D2 Queens College. But the lure of a secure spot and a chance to play major minutes was too much for Lance to pass up. Lance can score many ways. He is a very smart player and takes that with him to the classroom. St Josephs is a rebuilding program and Lance should step into the regular rotation with a chance of even starting at some point in his freshman season.
Kobe Thomas 6”4 will play for Farmingdale State on L I. Adding another impressive piece to their roster. A program that regularly is in the playoff picture. Kobe can play with his back to the basket or on the wing so he gives his coach a lot of different possible ways of playing him. An added plus is Kobe is very good at getting his hands in for deflections and steals. Kobe should step into the rotation quickly and be a major player as his career moves forward.
Isiah Barnes is a 5”10 guard from Elmont HS. The speedy guard who can play either guard position has decided on SUNY Delhi a D3 program in upstate NY. Averaged 10 ppg for a very good program. He shot 42%from the field. He knows how to get to the basket off the bounce.
Jevon Santos the backcourt running mate of Isiah will be attending Farmingdale State. They get another guard who distributes the basketball. Jevon has a really good handle. Has good court vision. He knows who to get the ball too, but also when he needs to score.
Ernie Parada from Monsignor McClancy HS in Astoria Queens will be playing at Hunter College in N Y city. They are getting a physically strong player. Ernie averaged 12 ppg and pulled down 5 rebounds a game. A hard worker who likes to mix it up. So he will be a welcomed addition to Hunter who play in the physical CUNY league in the City.
George Mansour from Northport HS will play at Maritime in the skyline conference. George will give Maritime many options. He is a long-player with a wide wingspan which enables him to guard taller players. He is an excellent shooter from three with unlimited range.
