1) DARREN BUCHANAN JR. | WOODROW WILSON | OVERALL RANK: #1
Buchanan is a physically-gifted 6-foot-5 playmaking wing with good athleticism, size, and skill. He’s a versatile defender who is productive on the glass. On the offensive end, Buchanan is best in transition. He’s a bonafide lob threat but is also a very good passer and a capable floor spacer.
2) BROCK DAVIS | GEORGETOWN DAY | OVERALL RANK: #26
Considering that his father played at Duke, Davis has basketball in his bloodlines. He is a long-limbed, broad-shouldered combo-forward with a high work rate. Davis is a good out of area rebounder and a strong inside finisher who seeks contact.
3) ALEX CADET | TAKOMA ACADEMY | OVERALL RANK: #32
Cadet has the size of a big man, but the skill set of a guard. He is a Lanky 6-foot-6 wing with a wide frame that will fill out over time. Cadet is a talented shot-maker from the perimeter but also has a nice in-between game. He’s a smart defender who stays vertical when he challenges shots and is active on the boards.
4) WARREN MOUGANDA | PALLOTTI | OVERALL RANK: #38
Mouganda quickly established himself as a key member of Pallotti’s rotation this year. He is a sturdily-built, athletic guard with length and considerable defensive potential. Mouganda is a proficient three-point shooter who also likes to attack the basket and can finish above the rim.
5) QUINN CLARK | GONZAGA | OVERALL RANK: #43
Clark is a versatile wing who can score inside and out. He has a nice physical profile, which helps him guard multiple positions. Clarks plays with a high IQ and has a lot of upside.
6) DELONTE RAYNOR | FAIRMONT HEIGHTS | OVERALL RANK: #46
Raynor is a big guard who can impact the game in many ways. He has big-time defensive prospects and prides himself on making hustle plays. Raynor is a downhill-type slasher who is a fearless finisher in traffic but also sees the floor well and makes guys around him better.
7) MACAHI NELSON | WILLIAMSPORT | OVERALL RANK: #50
Nelson is an athletic wing with intriguing raw physical tools. He has great length and coordination, loves to get out in transition, and is an explosive finisher. Nelson is a threat to pull down 10 boards, block 5 shots, or hand out 5 assists on a given night, but can also go for 20+ points.
8) MATT MALONE | GRACE BRETHREN | OVERALL RANK: #84
Malone’s biggest selling points are his length and relentless motor. He is a good shot-blocker who is active on the glass but also likes to get out and run in transition where he is a crafty finisher.
