The junior class was extremely deep this season. Some names on these lists could be higher up but that just speaks to the depth. Here is the Second Team All-Junior class.

[player_tooltip player_id="850500" first="Adama" last="Sanogo"] | The Patrick School

Sanogo recently cut his list to 10 schools including Seton Hall, Auburn, and Maryland. He is one of the most sought after recruits because if his incredible size and strength. Sanogo is 6’9 and is built like a truck. He has great footwork down low and strong hands to corral rebounds. Sanogo can dominate from the post on both ends. He is very athletic for his size and can finish with contact. He will continue to be a problem at the next level and beyond.

[player_tooltip player_id="850503" first="Akoldah" last="Gak"] | Blair

We continue with another forward on this list. Gak is 6’11 and has a smaller build than Sanogo, but he has more length. This has made Gak an elite shot blocker on the defensive end. He is an above average athlete which allows him to run the floor well and rebound effectively. Gak has offers from Rutgers, Penn State, Miami, UConn, and Wake Forest. This is no surprise when watching him on the court.

[player_tooltip player_id="850509" first="Zarique" last="Nutter"] | The Patrick School

Top-ranked player [player_tooltip player_id="850498" first="Jonathan" last="Kuminga"] missed time with an ankle injury and Nutter stepped up early in the season. He showed up in the biggest games of the season. He scored 15 points in an early season win over Roselle Catholic and 20 points against nationally ranked Sierra Canyon (CA). Nutter added 22 points against St. Benedict’s and 2 against McEachern (GA) in a three-game stretch. He is a versatile guard that can take over a game on the offensive side of the ball.

[player_tooltip player_id="850506" first="Zach" last="Hicks"] | Camden Catholic

It is hard to find a more versatile forward than Hicks. To start, he was an elite scorer with 20 points per game. He was a double-double machine with 11 this season. He could step out and knock down a three which he did 49 times and Hicks got to the free throw line at will. The 6’7 junior was one of the most productive players in the state. He has offers from Sienna, Temple, and Richmond, among others. It would not be surprising to see that list grow come next season.

[player_tooltip player_id="850508" first="Jerome" last="Brewer"] | Camden

Brewer was just another solid piece of the No. 1 team in the state. At 6’6, Brewer could do it all. Camden did not need his offensive prowess in every game given the talent they had with [player_tooltip player_id="766063" first="Lance" last="Ware"] and DJ Wagner, but he proved many times that he could be a dynamic offensive player. Brewer flashed his speed and athleticism on the defensive side and in the open floor. He will take the next step as a senior as he becomes a focal point of the offense.
