From all around guys to 3 and D to the defensive specialists this class covers it all.
Check out the guys we think are the cream of the crop when it comes to the wing position.
Barry Dunning Barry Dunning 6'6" | NA lbs | SF McGill-Toolen | 2022 State #133 Nation AL , 6’7 SF, McGill-Toolen: This guy checks all the boxes when you considered what a high major wing player looks like. His length and skillset make him one of the most intriguing prospects not only in the state but the entire country at this position. He can shoot the ball from the three, he can put it on the floor and beat his defender off the dribble and score in the midrange or get all the way to the basket. He also has a very good post-up game with good footwork and the ability to score over either shoulder from both blocks.
Martavious Russell Martavious Russell 6'4" | NA lbs | SF Sipsey Valley | 2022 State #239 Nation AL , 6’4 SF, Sipsey Valley: He probably projects more to the guard position on the next level depending on where he chooses to play due to his improved ball-handling skills. He is a nightmare in the open court whether he is running the lane or pushing the ball in transition. He shoots it well from outside but is best working in the midrange with pull-ups and floaters. He has also improved his decision making and passing ability and should only get better over the next few years. A mid-major prospect that could easily be a high major guy by his senior year.
J’Quan Broxson J’Quan Broxson 6'5" | NA lbs | SF Geneva County | 2022 #NA Nation AL , 6’5 SF, Geneva County: A physical wing player with a body that is ready now for college basketball. An explosive athlete who attacks the rim like it did something to him. He continues to improve as a shooter from outside the arc which will make him the ultimate ever valuable three and D guy with his potential to be a lockdown defender on the perimeter and also guard in the post. Keep your eye on this prospect he is well worth it.
Jonathan Murray Jonathan Murray 6'7" | NA lbs | SF Huffman | 2022 #NA Nation AL , 6’6 SF, Huffman: He could be considered a tweener depending on the system a school runs. He has great size and skill with the ability to shoot the 3 and put the ball on the floor and beat defenders to the basket. He is best right now in that 17 ft in area and could project to a nightmare matchup as a pick and pop 4 on the next level. He has the ability to bully smaller defenders and either shoot over or just go around bigger guys. He is also a winner helping led Huffman to the 6A State Championship.
Tai Hayes III Tai Hayes III 6'6" | NA lbs | SF Mae Jemison | 2022 State #NA Nation AL , 6’5 SF, Mae Jemison: A high energy athlete who is one of those guys that always seems to be around the basketball. He is a menace on the defensive end of the floor with the ability to guard at least 4 positions on the floor at any given time. He runs like deer in the open court and has good hands with the ability to catch and make quick decisions in transition and finish well above the rim. A hard hat type of player that also possesses a lot of skill as his confidence continues to grow you will see his full potential.
