There’s plenty of proven talent returning throughout Southwest Ohio for one last go-around next season. Here are some notable upcoming seniors to keep an eye out for heading into their final season of high school hoops.

[player_tooltip player_id="593930" first="Nate" last="Johnson"], Lakota East

The Greater Miami Conference Player of the Year, Nat Johnson is regarded as one of Ohio’s top guards heading into his senior year. Johnson averaged 17 points per game for Lakota East last season and creates an impact that’s felt on both ends of the floor. He’s a flashy guard who’s very unselfish with the ball in his hands and holds notable offers from Kent State, Miami (OH) and Youngstown State.

[player_tooltip player_id="714474" first="Logan" last="Duncomb"], Cincinnati Moeller

Arguably the best big man in the state, [player_tooltip player_id="714474" first="Logan" last="Duncomb"] recently committed to Indiana. The 6-foot-9 center averaged just under 14 points per game last season for Moeller and he runs the floor as well as any big man in the area. He’s very efficient with his shots near the rim and has great size, creating plenty of mismatches in the paint and can finish with both hands as well.

[player_tooltip player_id="918978" first="Jackson" last="Holt"], Turpin

Taking on another big role within the offense, Turpin’s [player_tooltip player_id="918978" first="Jackson" last="Holt"] has turned into a rising prospect in Southwest Ohio. The 6-foot-3 guard provided a spark due to his outside shooting his junior year and handled the pressure well when his number was called. He’s a tough player to stop when attacking the basket as he can beat defenders in many ways due to his athleticism.

[player_tooltip player_id="714507" first="Skyler" last="Schmidt"], Clermont Northeastern

One of the areas elite scorers, [player_tooltip player_id="714507" first="Skyler" last="Schmidt"] paced Clermont Northeastern’s offense his junior year by averaging 24.6 points per game. He stands at 6-feet-7 and creates plenty of mismatches inside the paint. He fights for rebounds with the best and has a nice touch to his jump shot.

[player_tooltip player_id="805146" first="Brayden" last="Sipple"], Blanchester

One of Ohio’s most consistent and effective scorers this past season, [player_tooltip player_id="805146" first="Brayden" last="Sipple"] averaged 34 points per game as a junior. The 6-foot-3 small forward knows how to fill the stat sheet better than any player in his class. He’s already the school’s all-time leading scorer and Sipple is also on pace to crack the top-5 in state scoring entering his senior season. Schools like Miami (OH), Northern Kentucky and even Kentucky have shown interest in Sipple.

[player_tooltip player_id="805140" first="Isaiah" last="Walker"], Wyoming

Colleges really started to take notice of Wyoming’s [player_tooltip player_id="805140" first="Isaiah" last="Walker"] during his breakout junior season. The 6-foot-5 small forward averaged 25.3 points and 8.5 rebounds per game while earning Southwest Player of the Year. He moves exceptionally well without the ball and knows how to create separation at an elite rate.

[player_tooltip player_id="834668" first="Alex" last="Williams"], Moeller

One of the most well-rounded players in the Cincinnati area, [player_tooltip player_id="834668" first="Alex" last="Williams"] improved immensely on the offensive side of the ball. The small forward is built well and is tough to stop when he’s fighting his way towards the paint. He’s got elite ability to create an open shot attempt with the ball in his hands. Williams and Duncomb will be one of the top returning duos in the state next season.

Deanza Duncan, New Miami

Earlier in the year, Deanza Duncan became the third player on his team to eclipse the 1,000-point scoring mark for his career. The point guard averaged 21.8 points per game as a junior and has a quick handle that gets him to the rim in a few dribbles. He plays up to his opponents well and has a high motor who’s always looking to make the next big play for his team.

[player_tooltip player_id="593935" first="AJ" last="Braun"], Fenwick

One of the biggest players in his class, Braun was a double-double machine for Fenwick throughout his junior year. The 6-foot-9 center is very physical and does a little bit of everything protecting the rim. He's always making big plays for his team and uses his big frame well with a nice touch inside the paint. Braun has offers from schools like Bucknell, Ohio University and Lehigh.
