1) CAM GILLUS | SIDWELL FRIENDS | OVERALL RANK: #5
At times, Gillus was the best player on the court for Sidwell this season. He’s a cerebral floor general that can control the tempo of a game. Gillus is a competent defender and a reliable playmaker who became more assertive as the season progressed.
2) MALIK MACK | ST. JOHN’S | OVERALL RANK: #9
Mack was a fixture in a tight 8-man rotation for St. John’s this season. He is a crafty left-handed guard who is always under control and knows how to change speeds. Mack gets consistent paint touches and can kick to the open man. He’s also a vocal and active defender.
3) JADEN JOHNSON | BISHOP MCNAMARA | OVERALL RANK: #21
Johnson played intermittently during his freshman season, but we expect his minutes to be on the uptick soon. He’s a strong, downhill type guard with a tight handle. Johnson sees the floor well and doesn’t fear contact around the basket.
4) RIECO HELLAMS | GOOD COUNSEL | OVERALL RANK: #29
Hellams is a lightning-quick, left-handed guard who is a pesky on-ball defender. He’s very fast with the ball and changes direction quickly.
5) JAMES LERNER | MARET | OVERALL RANK: #34
Lerner missed a chunk of the season due to injury but impressed while he was healthy. He’s a very good spot-up shooter with a quick release. Lerner is a good team defender who always boxes out and is a solid area rebounder.
