The Class of 2022 was extremely strong this season. Many sophomores like Zion Cruz Zion Cruz 6'4" | SG Patrick School | 2022 #26 Nation CA-S , Will Richardson Will Richardson 6'2" | PG Bergen Catholic | 2022 State #76 Nation NJ , and Corey Floyd Jr Corey Floyd Jr 6'4" | SG Roselle Catholic | 2022 NJ . burst onto the scene as Division I prospects. There are many more that are flying under-the-radar. Here are some names that if you have not heard of, you will soon.
Julian Brown Julian Brown 6'1" | PG Bergen Catholic | 2022 State NJ | Bergen Catholic
Brown is right on the cusp of under-the-radar and star. Either way, we’ll take anytime we can to talk about his talent. Brown was not a major contributor as a freshman but he burst onto the scene with 17.7 points per game as a sophomore. Brown knocked down 39 three’s and was strong at getting to the rim. He set a season-high with 32 points in a win over St. Joe’s (Mont.). Bergen Catholic is in good hands with Brown and Richardson for the next two years.
Keon Sabb | Williamstown
Sabb missed the beginning of the season after transferring to Williamstown. Sabb is one of the best all-around athletes in the state as he is a standout in football and track as well as on the basketball court. Sabb played in just 16 games and led Williamstown with 340 total points for an average of 21.2 per game. Sabb thrives at getting to the free throw line and rebounding on both ends of the floor.
Daniel Skillings Daniel Skillings 6'5" | SG Roman Catholic | 2022 State PA | St. Joe’s (Hamm.)
At 6’5, Skillings has the size of a Division I player and he will build his talent to go with it. He is off to a good start. Skillings averaged 18.6 points and 7.2 rebounds per game. He scored in double-figures in all 26 game he played and eclipsed 20 points in 13 of them. Skillings best game came in a win over Millville where he put up 33 points, eight rebounds, and six steals. Skillings will emerge as a top-level prospect next season.
Savion Pressley | Wardlaw-Hartridge
Pressley was one of the best two-way players in the GMC this season. He averaged 22 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 6.7 steals per game this season. He scored a season-high 36 points in a win over Highland Park and two games later had 10 steals in a game. Pressley is a true point guard who can score inside, shoot from outside (knocked down 55 three’s), find his teammates, and guard the other team’s best player.
Jack Seidler Jack Seidler 6'5" | SF Marlboro | 2022 State NJ | Marlboro
Seidler was apart of a high scoring Marlboro team this season. They started three sophomores and are set up well for the future. Seidler used his 6’5 frame to be a threat on offense scoring and rebounding. He set the tone right away as he posted 26 points in an opening night win over CBA. He finished the season with 560 total points and eclipsed 20 points 13 times. Seidler’s offensive arsenal is wide. He had a large number of post moves and had a knack at getting to the free throw line.
Amari Campbell Amari Campbell 6'3" | PG St. Joe's Metuchen | 2022 State NJ | St. Joe’s Metuchen
Campbell led the Falcons in scoring very early in the season. He was part of a strong backcourt with K-Shawn Schulters. Campbell is a guard with great length who can defend all five positions. On the offensive end, he is a capable shooter but uses his length to get inside.
